I live nearby and used to have a Kaw JS650 but sold it a yr or so ago. I have been working/going to school, but I'm out come May so I plan on getting a new one.
Maybe if I bring some frosty adult beverages, I can get some people to let me bum theirs... :dunno:

NO ski needed BUT you better bring your check book there will be a lot of skis there. Plus you can find out what kind of ski you want while talking/testriding all the skis there. Well not all the skis some people won't let you ride but you will find that most people on here are like family.. SO buy a ski and get into the family.

Just a word of advice Hall county cops dont play, I have been thru there on a holiday weekend when they had road blocks on every exit off I985. I'm sure if they catch wind of the event we will be profiled and targeted. This is podunk rural Georgia and the police do as they please and are probably the judges cousins. Not trying to shed negative light just want to warn everybody and tell them to be carefull. Gainesville has as much to offer as the baldridge area as far as lodging and food if not more. I'm sure it will be a great ride like in the past.

DNR and Sherriff has always been kinda iffy with our rides at Jetski coves. 2005 they just visited alot and ask questions. In 2006 when we were raising all the $ for a sheriffs side cause....not one stand up guy was even looked at for too long.

I was talking more about driving around in hall county. Jet ski cove is located in forsyth county (they just dont like african Americans) It wasnt that long ago that forsyth had no colored people in it. Hall county is where gainsville is and its a little more country if you know what I mean. I'm just saying that if you were to get caught D.U.I. or carrying illigal substances expect a more severe punishment than you would most places. Also keep in mind that these small towns love to get revenue from speading tickets. Not that any of us would ever break the law but its worth knowing

I would agree but some people might be in hotels and have a few at dinner or speeding trying to get to the ride. Gainsville probably won't be bad but the other small towns around there can be. Don't forget deliverence was filmed not far from there:biggrin:

Atlanta dragway is in commerce about thirty miles from gainesville. There might be some local but you would be better off hitting up the station in whitesburg before you headed out Nature. It also looks like Lanier international raceway might have vp in gainesville

He may have had the wrong Gainsville, BUT he had the right idea. Don't forget Road Atlanta and Lanier National Speedway are not too far from Gainsville.
There is a little gas station at 985 and hwy. 53 in Oakwood that sells race gas. (Can't remember the name, but I will get it)
As far as Hall County police go. They have some new couches to patrol on. They are always really cool to us (of course there are not usually 200 of us :biggrin
In fact we sold a boat to the Hall County Police...so they like us. :nana:
That brings me to my next point. I would like to ask you all PLEASE to be on your best behavior while you are here. This is our full time lake. We really like the fact that they are pretty cool to jetskiers and that they have not banned us off the water yet.
I absolutley want everyone to have a GREAT time. Just remember that while most of you are only here for one weekend, some of us live here. Not to mention Paul who is trying to make his living at this lake.
I hope I have not ruffled any feathers. I love you guys. I just want to make sure we don't tick off the "powers that be".
