Today it begins! I picked up a SN hull for $1.

I'm doing a roundnose conversion with a deck from a new semi-secret source. More on that later. For now we start with the bottom, and work our way up.

Say hello to my little friend!!

Hi Mr.$Bill. Meet Mr. Reciprocating Saw. OH NOOOOO!

Never saw it coming. A shame, too. I just picked it up 5 hours ago.

Dude, what a deal, $1 and it came with steering cable and intermediate housing?

Nah, I put those in to make sure they were the right ones for the ski. It did come with the mid shaft and motor mount bolts, though!
First thing my son did was climb inside the hull and point out the one-way valve for the tank, too. Smart kid for 17 months.

Day 2

Here's more progress. I got the gunwhales to come off in one peice, BUT there was an issue. I broke the bulkhead. That's ok, since now I have a good reason to make my own.

I have a lot of ideas, but don't know for sure where I'm going to end up. I have a second SN to build, as well. I want to try different things on each, so I have two completely different conversion skis. Oh wait, I still have a RN to build, too. I guess I'll leave that one stock.

How about -3 hull, side sponsons, topdeck, shortened pole, light bulkhead, lowered pole mount and hood.
