So, I am heading up to the official Memorial Service for Kevin tomorrow evening. I am planning on leaving Cleveland around 10 or 11 am. Should put me into Zeeland around 3 or 4 pm. I am planning on throwing my gear in the truck and the ski in the back. This thing has been tearing me up all week. I can not think of a more fitting tribute to Kevin then to get out and ride on the lake that he loved to ride so much. I know it is going to be hard for me to ride past the the rocks and ride in that place... But, I think it would be what Kevin would want me to do and I am hoping it will help me put this in perspective.
My plan is to ride Saturday Morning 10/22/11 in remembrance of Kevin. I am also planning to have some sort of Memorial Service on the water for Kevin. I am not sure of the details yet, and I hoping for some input from his crew and from others on here for the best way to do it.
I am not at all familiar with the area. So please anyone that is from the area or part if Kevin's crew if you can help me out, that would be great. I am also looking for a recommendation on some place to stay. Cheap local hotel etc, I don't want to impose on anyone but, I would be fine sleeping in my truck in someone's driveway, or on a couch in a basement, where ever.
I would love to ride with as many of Kevin's crew or others as possible. I understand it's late notice but I really think this is a fitting tribute to our friend.
