Guys ( and dolls..! ) , 12 months ago I posted the question how many fx1`s are still in use. And by your response all I can say is "wow". I never thought there were so many weird and wonderful skis out there... (mostly wonderful). Keep up the good work , and in another 20 years the Yamaha fx1 will be a true legend , known by everyone , but owned and cherished by only the lucky 500 or so that can tame the savage beast that is the brilliant FX1...... I own only 1 and i plan on hanging on to it... Dudes , respect + take a bow...Dudes , all of our fx1`s are 19 or 20 years old.... Any ideas as to how many of the 1500 sold , way back in 94/95 are still in active service... ??? Where I live I have never seen another in use.....

People either love them or hate them. I love them. It's basically like a 550 with a 701 in it. It also has a better ride feel to it than a 550 but that's just my opinion. I don't think I will ever sell mine. I convinced my friend to buy one that was a steal on craigslist. He had never ridden one before but the deal was so good he bought it. I get the vibe he has regretted it every day since. Some people are fans, some aren't.
If I ever get a chance of def like to ride one , that's how people are with the x2 as well but I've always loved em

I ride in the detroit lakes, mn area usually. Since those are the closes lakes to fargo.
I believe it is the stock pump still. I havent done anything to it since I got it.

Guess I should post mine. I cant take credit for the build, only put the pieces back together. Fiberglass reinforcement, 144mm pump, mod b-pipe, r&d head, JSS ebox, goose pole/steering.... Yes I know I need to put my chin pad back on.
