I ended up landing sideways and one of the tubbies cracked and filled the foam with water… It was cool to try them, but it turns out they are so big that it is impossible to lean the ski over in high-speed applications to stick the back edge down… I ended up ripping them back out.

Super glad I figured out why people don't do that though haha

New tank, new oil cooler radiator, and I broke a new WDK Right hold... had to make a new hold off the original.

Planning on making the nose fit with the oil-cooler radiator so it is air cooled and then I am going to take an SLP 2:1 exhaust, chop it up, weld it back, and plug in a T3/T4 turbo to the backside... All fuel supplied using Microsquirt's EFI module, carbs are too old-school.

You must describe this plan of attack in fine detail...

^ Thank you for that elaborate .gif collection haha...

Turbo kit Design Breakdown:

  • Microsquirt EFI module
    • Fuel and ignition control using stock hardware (Stator, coils, etc.)
      • Minus ECU and carb/intake mani
  • Arctic Cat M1000 Dual 48 Throttle bodies
    • with injectors/rails and Intake Boots
  • Custom Waterjetted/welded Intake Manifold
  • JEGS Electronic Fuel Pump and pressure regulator
  • K03 Turbocharger (originally off an Audi A4)
    • Internal wastegate (will run 7 Psi boost at lower RPMs easily)
  • Electronic Oil-Scavenge pump for turbo
  • JEGS Oil pressure regulator
  • Remote Oil Filter with Inline Oil Cooler adapter
  • Liquid-to-air Intercooler (Water from pump to cool engine-bay intake air)
  • Uncoated/bare-metal Straight-line Performance exhaust system for Ski-doo 800
  • Piston, cylinder head, and finger/exhaust ports ceramic coated (also by Swain Tech)

Yep... That's the plan as of now.

Crisco is the best mold release ever... 6 layers of 8 oz. produces a lighter and stronger product than the original. At least I have a complete (unbroken) set now.
