Hey everyone long time lurker, new member here. I just picked up a 1997 Waveblaster 2 (teal one 760 dual carb). This thing is pretty clean! Seems to have very low hours impeller looks brand new, bottom of hull still shiny teal gelcoat with only a couple chips here and there. Head bolts never been off seems to have very low hours. It lived at a vacation house and probably didn’t get used much. Test ride went great I love it so far. It will compliment my wife’s 1995 Waveventure (701 dual carb) perfectly. My question is about the oil injector lines. I want to keep the oil injection for sheer convenience. It’s not the pump that fails it the lines that pop off from shrinkage that fail. And man oh man the lines on this blaster were shrunk up!!! The original ones were so tight and pulling off the nipples. Dodged a bullet on that one haha. Anyway I replaced them with 3/32 Tygon lines and put the Yamaha check valves back in place, bled the lines and they’re flowing oil again. Is 3/32 the correct size lines? Not much info on what size to use. They fit on perfect nice and snug and the ID of the hose was a match. Just curious if I used the right size for piece of mind before I go out in the water again!! Thanks everyone seems like a great forum here. Here’s some pics of the Blaster 2!! Enjoy
