Yes it's sucks but that's typically the reality. I am sure they want it back to figure out what went wrong and fix it. You don't want to be without a ski forever. That's the trade off. I agree with you it sucks especially for a 10k hull. But you buy these light hulls knowing your eventually going to break them.

I disagree 100%, you buy a Xscream hull, because you want the best of the best. industry leader. Ive never heard about a late KDX or DVX doing this.
One would assume Xscream had their layup and bonding 110% down, even with Stoyer and Chris out of the shop. Quality should be 100% the same, otherwise Xscream should take care of their loyal customers would pay big bucks to get the best.
The scenario was diffrent if someone asked to get a super super lighweith sub 40lbs hull, and making an agreement with XS that its speciel ultra layup.
But normal ordered hull, should not separate, if you a 100lbs guy or 300 lbs guy.

Ive cut up my KDX and saw how well built it was and how the footholds were bonded to the hull VERY well. I saw Chris Langias old hull, it had almost no glue between side fo foothold and hull side :(

Yeah weird deal. Not sure why they are just gluing the holds in with no tap around the seams. You might run a layer around yours @clouse22 if you haven't turfed yet. They will come apart, you just won't see it with the turf on. No telling when @Jyzmbe 's first separated. Might have been first ride for all we know. It just took enough force to break the tray and fall all the way in.

Scream is one of the top hull companies this shouldn't be an issue. What pissing me off is that dusty ordered the heavier layup and didnt get it. Yes, the light hulls might eventually break but sounds like scream is corner cutting now and that clearly isn't working. That's three scream hulls that have cracked in Dallas Fort Worth this year alone.

I love my Xscream DVX hulls. I am glad mine are Stoyer built. This was what I was worried about with XS lately, not to bash them, they make arguably the best hull on the market and I think it would be quite hard to prove otherwise. However if quality is bad in the layup process it doesn't matter how good the hull is on the water and it is a damn shame. I am sure since its the first generation of the Helium that is why they are having issues, even though the layup should be near the same as the DVX. I think it comes down with them getting rid of veteran employees and short cutting things. I hope I am wrong but there has been an awful trend lately from what I have heard and now seen on the forum backing some of it up.

XS should not only be taking care of you Dusty but they should be working with you and their Pro riders to put these hulls through the ringer before selling to the public. I forsure won't be purchasing a new Helium until their quality control improves. I don't see how some of these "top" companies are able to do this and get away with it retaining any customers. I truely hope you get on the water soon with a flatwater ski, your videos are awesome to watch to see what a non-competition guy and a heavier guy can do.

Dusty's, Krenn's had the same issue with the footholds not being sealed. And the 2015 dvx from Daniel I had, cracked in front of the intake grate.

I finished the Rickter Saturday afternoon and went for a quick test ride. I could barley get on it. Pole was too long, short plate was too short, and foot holds were way too loose. Holds were adjusted all the way down and didn’t even touch the top of my feet. I made lifter wedges, adjusted the pole on, put on the rear sponsons and long plate and it was a little too much. I kept burying the nose trying to ride out of stuff. I need to try it again without the rear sponsons. I’m sure I’ll end up ordering a medium plate. Prop seems a little tight too.

I’ve already had some carnage with this apt ts2. Kick back took out my new starter and bendix. I’m going to send Atp an email and send them what I have and see if they will help me out with a curve to eliminate the kickback. It had a 15° start retard also so idk why it’s doing it

I was also told the computer auto picks map "A" unless you have a switch, and you have "B" mapped out. Idk if any of that matters, just an idea.

Since I changed the map, we have not had any more kick back, yet.

I haven’t updated this in a while but the Rickter has been a engine whore. I sold the Dasa 1k, and really enjoyed it with the tpe 1200. Tpe is due for a rebuild and has about 300 gallons through it. I was having Tim build me a pissed off 4mil 780. Ported to hell setup for tl , pfp, and race gas.I haven’t rode it in 3 months until this past week. I got tired of my ski just sitting and me not riding so when Krenn posted up a Dasa 900 I snagged it. Been running pretty good and had a nice ride this weekend behind the Malibu.

I didn’t have much luck with the atp TS2 so I went back to msd. If anyone wants the atp setup it’s available. I just whipped up a plate to bolt the msd to in the same location.

Along with forgetting my front foot hold Rickter forgot to put any padding on the tray. It’s just turf glued straight to fiberglass. That’s why my footholds were so loose. I just added some underpadding and turf over the existing for now. I’ll probably do a real turf job this winter

The helium situation...

XScream send me a sheet of turf, a new foot hold and some carbon pieces. We went ahead and ordered a couple more yards of 20oz twill and did a 100oz layup on the tray and went around the holds with strips of carbon. @Yami-Rider did excellent work on the whole vac bag job.

I sold the purple ski to Krenn and agreed to turf it for him. Big mistake on my part. I hate turfing....
He wanted foot wedges but no heal locks. I decided to make the tray even all the way across so you can stand anywhere you want. Foot holds came out perfectly and I can only hope I do my own as well. This ski is so comfortable to ride

To replace this ski I bought Justin Sylvain’s place in line because I didn’t want to wait forever on another one. Had to pay a little more but hopefully this one is worth it.

This one is laid up on the heavy side and has a reinforced tray. It’s 70lbs with hood and dhould hold up to anything I throw at it.

I decided to paint it ppg vibrance sour apple with some lil daddy roth flake over the top. Since this ski is staying local I can’t keep my color. Kinda bummed about it. That paint was SICK!

I guess I’ll start building it after world finals and send my 1200 off to Erik. I’m going to get with @Lm12 for graphics soon and I’ll post up whatever I decide on.

Have a buddy from Germany who ordered a HE in Jan 2018, was scheduled to July 2018. Its just finished this week, ready to be crated.
So anything from 6-9 weeks would be a guess

no he means 6-9 weeks in "jetski time" which equates to about a year in astrological time but with 20 or so missed promised dates in-between.
