Yep. Called twice on Tuesday. One chick asked if I knew "Scott" V-something. I said of course but that didn't help. They wouldn't give me the government rate of $68 either. I'll get it worked out, I was just wondering if anyone else had the same problem. Thanks,mark

when you call and get the first menu, i think it's option #2 that you're part of a 'group event'

I did the whole option #2 group event rate, mentioned the Freeride, and was promptly told that it would be $109 per night. I inquired about the special rate, but was told that she couldn't do anything about that. I reserved them anyway for ocean front, first floor---but was told there was no guarantee on the first floor assignment.

I think part of the problem is that the number we are calling is a reservation only number for somewhere around 20+ motels in the area. I assumed I would be calling the Makai direct.

you can ask to speak w/ them directly at the Makai... I recomend You do that, since the reservation people are not handling it correctly.

I'm very sorry for the confusion. I will call Lisa and get this worked out.

No problem, Nick---I just wanted to make sure I got a room reserved. I'm sure it will be worked out by the time I check out.

yes... she told me they would work it out at checkout, if you reserved @ full price.

Just a thought how about another thread with a small design contest for the logo for the freeride t-shirts. The one last year was ok but maybe we could come up with something better.

Whatcha guys tink ?

Nick, When you get the logo let me know... I wanted to see if I can get someone in my design dept. to digitize it... I might be able to get some baseball caps made up for ya with the 2007 Daytona Beach Moto/Surf Freeride logo on the front.

Let me know... no guarantees but I'll see what I can do. Just need the logo/art work.

I know this is way out there but is there anything projected around April 07??? I made it to the last one in January but I can forget about this one.
