Super Jet 2010 Superjet - Driveshaft won't come out!

So I broke my OEM plastic pump shoe. Im trying to get it out, but the driveshaft is stuck in there, wont come out. Any ideas on how to remove it?? Its the only thing holding the pump.

Still can't get it off. I removed the ebox and coupler cover, and found out that the midshaft has moved rearward! WTF! I noticed it when I saw the couplers were halfway separated

that's a problem, I bet your splines are in real bad shape. I'd have someone hit the midshaft with a hammer while you are pulling/prying on the drive shaft to seperate them. the shock of the hammer blows should help seperate them. be prepared to replace both of them.

I had one like that before and I tried everything to get it out. I ended up pulling the motor with the intent of driving it out from the inside but all it took was one little tap and it popped right out like the third child.

i would put a block of wood on the mid shaft coupler and tap it there while someone else pulled on the pump. your not really beating it out, just giving it a little shock. if you hit it too hard you will have to beat the shaft back the other direction (not a good idea as its normally pressed in). just give her a good tap with the mid shaft loose so you get the "jolt" of it to the pump.

If you have the motor out, unbolt the midshaft assembly and try to pull it off the shaft.

I may not have been clear enough earlier with my suggestion to tap the shaft out from the inside. You would need to have one of the couplers with the removeable centers or remove the coupler so you could directly contact the driveshaft.

I tore down a couch before and the two were so welded together I ended up zip cutting the shaft off. Of course the piece of the shaft tapped out nicely once in the vise but there was no moving it while it was still in the hull.

I did unbolt the midshaft assembly and pulled it, didnt work.

Im so close to cutting the driveshaft and buying a new one, along with a new midshaft assembly...

Once you cut the shaft you should be able to put the midshaft in a vise and drive the shaft out. If you are careful, you should be able to save the midshaft housing at least. You wouldn't think a 2010 would be in that bad of shape already.

Could it be the fact that I only ride saltwater? Maybe the salt corroded the splines
