It was pretty mild out in NJ today, so I decided to load the van up for Friday's Daytona departure. I gave the 24/7 hood a quick bath before stowing it away for the drive. Josh will have it a week from today.

TOM21 is still selling hoods where 24/7 isnt.
Both hoods have pros and cons.

24/7 uses the X2 UMI
Tom21 uses the blaster/gp/vent/raid

Build quality Tom21s is very well made and thiought out.
24/7 has a nice postion to it but its all about ride style and where you like it.

the 2 maros 24/7 hoods I have seen have a one off maros built steering, I dont know if an x2 stem would work, pretty sure it wont on mine because of the cable coming to the stem from below, guessing it will be a similar deal on a 24/7.

Hated to say anything but I just dont want guys scooping up the wrong steering if they come across a 24/7 hood or plan to find one. Not sure that a blaster stem would work either with the recess on top and the tall liner it would most likely not fit. I think I saw a pick of the ericson hood and he installed the cable in the liner and the stem stuck thru the liner. not ideal but functional.

Im far from perfect but I do my best to make a quality product. If someone were to say my hood fell a little short of a Maros hood I would consider that a compliment. the sr-71 hood still is the best looking hood IMHO. style and glass talent.

Im stoked to see all the new builds and different stuff out this year at Daytona. I hope everyone can pull it together in time.

another thing is that the liner is pretty deep on that hood. Im guessing 4 or 5 inches tall. it may clear the type 4, if it doesnt you can just cut out for it and glass it up over since there is an access hole in the liner.

Is it done yet? Josh your gonna love that 24-7 hood on that thing man!!!! I rode ShawnNJ's a few times and although I'm not a fixed steer guy it was a blast ripping that thing!

Yeah this project has been on the rear burner... Busy with work, and riding MX with my kids...

Once my new Dasa arrives I'll build the fix steer, I sold my Dasa 900 so I'm dropping the Jetmaniac 771 in my XFR for a few weeks....
