I'm hoping to move to Perth, AU, after I graduate next year, so the superjet being sold internationally would be a good thing Although with the cost of things in Australia I've heard it may be cheaper just to bring my own.
New to the site, so hey. Been looking at getting a PWC for a little while, and always wanted a stand up over the sit down type. Sorry I don't know all the terms yet. So I started looking at the Super Jets and just realized how hard they are to find. Just noticed that the 2013 models are up on Yamaha's site, and the Super Jet is there, for $8199 MSRP.

says "available for closed course competition use only"
Still not a fan of the all black
So is paying close to retail or slightly over with fee's and such common? Anyone know of a decent dealer in the Northern VA, MD area for getting one of these?

Yeah I hear ya, and I think I will end up having to do that. No dealers within a few hours drive of me seem to carry them, but like I said will order one for me. One dealer told me they don't make much money on them, even at MSRP, hence they don't usually stock them. I guess take that for what it is.you'll never buy anything that might not be offered next year and get a "great deal"... look at the 2011 sxr, I talked to dealers selling them for 2-3000 over msrp because they can't get another... if you want one you'll pay for it, if they decide to quit selling them in the states, the same unit will be worth more... paying msrp for something that most places don't even order isn't the end of the world, mine sat in the show room from feb-june(when I bought it) and he said he has had people look but no interest to buy it, only reason he came down from msrp was simply it was early enough he could order another 2012 if they would quit sales for 2013...
msrp on the 2012 is 7999... 2013 is 8199... wait long enough and you will pay more for the exact same unit without question.. If they say they will order one, ask them how much you can have it for, they'll know right off hand what they can sell it for...
