Flatwater day is on Sunday this year. Like I said in the other thread, it breaks up the ride and I don't think it's good to have in the middle of the ride. Most everyone agreed, except a few. I can't stop you from doing anything, but it would be nice if we all tried to make this work. If Sunday turns out to be a bad day to do it, I will move it. Just give me a chance to make the ride the best it can be.

Did u read the end of the convo on fb everyone went back to Friday because only surf ppl want it on Sunday to rinse their skis but I personally don't care ill be there Thursday Friday and Sunday the beach is way too crowded for everyone to be there Friday anyway I mean look at Saturday wen everyone is there its stupid busy in the surf and the beach

ha ha ha... exactly. The crowd of people is what makes it great and you can always go to the end of the zone and ride by yourself if you dan't want to ride around others. Can't stand when no nothings run their mouths about stuff they have no clue about.

It's funny there are no flat water rides that come close to competing with the Daytona ride. Yet everyone wants to go to the lake at a surf event.

But what do I know. I'm just a poor surf rider on a clapped out Squarenose.

The fact that it is crowded is what makes it fun. I've never attended Daytona but from the brig ride I had a blast it's unreal how much is going on. Get up early claim your spot and ride. I'll be out there until my ski breaks or I break.

I'd think you would want to embrace having a event where both groups of riding can go on. I don't know of any other event where there is surf riding and flatwater, and the fact you don't have to do anything to setup the flatwater part seems pretty good to me.
Now instead of only having one group of people you have two...win win
