Other 2014 is here - what mods and skills etc., do you hope to achieve ?

What did you get done in 2013? Any skisolutions for 2014?

Hope you have a good holiday season and a great new riding year!

in 2013 i got my boaters card and got my feet wet. bought a sit down, then a SN superjet. got around 50hrs tray time in two months before the season ended. my 2014 goal is a flip, on my ski or others i don't care. Im building a 762 61x motor, with upgraded driveline also. I would like to find an AM hull locally, used from a riding buddy. With that and the new parts id hope to try my hand at freestyle. I am working this winter on core and body/leg strength, to improve my riding and endurance. The first month of riding the SJ, showed me the pure body strength you need to do much of anything on these skis.

Here is what I did this last year.
3rd place for my class in region 1
Got my name in pro ride mag more than once (just in points standings so I'm not sure if that really counts)
3rd place pro am motosurf at surf slam (I know I can do better.)
5th place am freeride at surf slam
18th at finals in my class
8th at finals in vintage 550

Here is the plan for next year.
Land a big flip, flat spin, and roll.
Get more than just my name in pro rider mag.
Ironman the mark hahn 300
Win my class in Region 1
Win Pro am motosurf at surf slam
Place top 5 freeride at surf slam
Place top 10 at finals in my class
Place top 5 at finals in vintage ski
Help my girlfriend win some races on her blaster (this is her first year racing)
And meet more people in the sport, it's always cool to meet people that love the sport as much as you do.
Oh and hopefully I won't blow up my motor. lol.

I was able to progress quite a bit during 2013. Was my first full year on my superjet, got a great feel for freestyle. Started surf riding, started throwing stabs, moved on to rolls.

My main goals for the rest of the year and into 2014 are to keep progressing my surf riding technique, land rolls consistently, start learning surf reentries and grow some balls to huck my first flip. Ill be looking to move on to an AM hull soon so hopefully 2014 will be another good year of progression for me :)

Short story: Scrubbed the first double in a double/double/table top rythem section a 450 and drug the pegs on the face, dismounted my feet, landed still in control but feet where off center and must have tapped the shifter, went to scrub the next double and the bike was in nuetral, bounced off the rev limiter and into the face of the landing i went... face first.

My goal for next year was going to be competing at World Finals in amateur freestyle but I just got hurt at work yesterday and will find out Monday when I see an orthopedic surgeon to see what the extent of damage is. Possible torn bicep which would result in a surgery and a long ass recovery:( Prolly means my next season is shelfed .......
