Question.... how far is the beach access from parking my non 4 X 4 truck... ???

I am asking because if I could park my truck and walk my camping gear to the beach.... awesome... if not I can crash in my truck... camper top fully carpeted... ski sleeps on beach... !!!

We can get your gear out there for you. Myself and Lazlo on the facebook group are offering rides. Are you in the FB group? It's definitely farther than you want to walk.

Scott, hate to say it but after all your hard work to move the camp zone the Junkie crew (against my choice) has decided to camp at the old spot due to fears of rip tides for children and wind blowing up the beach front toppling tents over.

Sorry man, I did lobby for camping at the new spot, but to no avail. I will be with the crew as they are feeding me this weekend.

I never really cared in the first place, other people were pushing me for oceanfront. Junkies have a point though and with the high tides worrying me I might just go ahead and announce to revert back to the old camping zone.

Attention everyone! So after giving more thought to the new camping area and taking into consideration possible tide issues along with possible onshore winds and stronger currents I'm reverting back to the old original camping zone from last year. I do not want to risk everyone camping on the point and then with a new moon next week it being flooded.

Anyone is welcome to camp there at their own risk and I hope we have so many people that we take up the entire sound and point haha.

Just to recap, positives of the old camping zone : calm water to pull your ski onto, no tide issues with camping, calm water for kids attending, less wind and current, will not have to deal with fisherman on the point.

Positives of new optional zone: closer distance to the ride area, less distance to tow if you break down. Slight chance of better footage of riding.

Yeah if we cant ride in the shore breakers, camping at the point is kinda pointless. (other than the towing distance, which is a selling point for me b/c i get toe'd in for every 5 gallons of fuel i burn haha.)
