2014 Superjet Project!

So being new to this whole addiction i decided to post some of the progress on my 2014 Superjet build, I'm sure there are many of these same types of builds but i love hearing peoples different experiences and opinions on new projects. So far i changed my ride plate, intake grate, i added the msd enhancer, i have a ADA GIRDLED HEAD with 35cc domes, i still have to order my factory b pipe and jets and some other misc things. I got my man @BruceSki putting my ski together and doing a pretty good job at it. He has given me some great advice on what to do to my ski so far. Here are some pictures of the @tom21 footholds he is installing for me, i will post more as he gets more done. I can't wait till its turfed and done, i need a complete rrp pole setup and lowered hood and nose also. Ive been getting a lot of help and i appreciate it, always open to ideas and advice and also can't wait to meet a lot of the people on here. If there is anything i can do to help any one just let me know, i have a pretty great following and can do a lot with it especially promoting. To be continued.... lol

Those are the best mods you can do right there. I had a '08 with identical mods and it was a great reliable ski. Then I started going wild with big bore engines and I was wrenching every week. I ran the blowsion joe kenney hood kit on mine, quality stuff. Maybe ya'll can get this done for the weekend; supposed to be some good surf!

Some more progress from my man @BruceSki He is working pretty fast... Next up will be sanding and turfing!!!!

Looks good, I checked out the ski over at Bruce's last week. You're gonna have a solid surf ski! Maybe have bruce put a stainless front tow loop on the thing. & Don't forget to get a surf strap setup also to keep that hood on.

Your hull already has a wider factory sponson. Keep riding the thing. I have a 96 without any sponsons and don't plan on getting them any time soon.

Some people experience some walk or rocking at high speeds with the sponsons but that happens without them too. You gotta ride the ski, sometimes it rides you.

@eastcoastjumper the 96 is one of the best as far as handling doe lol, theres alot of talk on this site on how to fix the steering etc on the 08+ model SJ's... Tubbies was one of the fixes, i have to do some more research on them but i am thinking of buying a set of the blowsion versions.

If you do get them, make sure to get the blowsions that are especially designed for 08-up. They are smaller than the 90-07 ones.

Let's get that steering sorted first then worry about tubbies later in the season or over the winter.

My man @BruceSki is seriously going in on my sj lol... Doing such a good and clean job! Definitely the man to have work on your ski's if you need someone.

Should be a fun and fairly reliable ski. I would almost feel bad doing this to a pretty much brand new ski though.
