Sorry there have been massive amounts of discussion on the whole situation on facebook. I need to update everything on here.

Lots of news coverage, I did several interviews on 2 different tv networks. Went to the town meeting, voiced my concerns, its all recorded here http://m.wect.com/wect/db/330750/content/pY7HQCHD

On the last link you can fast forward to the camping part and our debate.
We failed to convince the council so they voted in favor of the regulations. Spring event will have to be held on Masonboro Island as previously discussed I will have finer details soon on that. The fall event can continue to be held on Freeman Park as the new camping regulations only run from April 1st to Setpember 31st. So the fall event will most likely be scheduled for the first weekend of October when the air and water temp is still very warm.
