It's not worth yamaha's time to make any of these changes. It's a pretty freakin good stock jet ski. The engine is sweet, the prop is pitched right, the hull has sponsons....of course they had to eff up the steering. It's possible to go back to the old steering right?

Personally, I like superjets without sponsons more at this stage in my career. 2x4's are cool. So are squares. Therefore the 2016 superjet should just be a new square nose

how about a power valve motor with direct injection... sea doo did it y can't yamaha. if its suposed to be the ultimate race ski lets step the game up. lol

they might sell more if they would actually target the enthusiasts who are buying skis these days. Its like a bicycle company producing the same bike since 1995 and then complaining that it isnt worth their time to produce a new bike because they assume no one is buying any based on their lack of sales. SMH

I don't know man.. I know you hate the fact that you bought a new 08+ but take that thing in waves and it's magic. It's totally meant for aggressive freeride/racing.

It sure is a fun boat, it's kind of fun running a stocker. The cool thing is, you mod the hell out of your other boats, but have one that you put gas in and go. I can understand why people think otherwise and I respect your opinion.

I've never had a new ski before, so for me it's a good feeling to just have an untouched ski. No jetting, tuning, finding specs, no back flow through the exhaust, gas hog, just put go go juice in and go ride. In the end, I am honestly impressed with the power/handling for a stock boat, and I feel it's a great weekday/weekend riding rec boat (just my opinion). There are other options out there, but at least just take one out for a spin and see what you think. We all have different objectives, so that's the main thing to think about. I'll give it a thumbs up on a fun scale!!

Apparently i got a lemon. Mine wouldnt make it through one wake without all of the paint cracking like an egg. I would LOVE to ride some waves though. Hopefully next spring/summer.

Wow, I've watched that video 50 times and had no idea I was watching one of my favorite riders! lmao. Makes complete sense why I've never heard of captain John outside of this video.
