I got my carbs close to being tuned. I had to bump up to a 140 from a 135 main jet. I still might try a 142.5 and see what that does. I'm just over a turn out. I had a couple issues my first day riding at Daytona. The nozzle I had was an old carbon wrapped XScream nozzle. It was broke at the pump ears so @Yami-Rider welded it up for me after we stripped all the carbon off. It was super thin. Couldn't handle a love tap from the Daytona sand.

Thankfully @JetManiac is here to save the day with nozzles and tons of parts. So many people would be lost without him here. I had the buy the back fuel pump piece of the carb too. Some how on my brand new carbs the pulse nipple broke off.

There is what is known as the Havasu Curse, Many racers and freestylers know this, This Curses little sister is the Daytona Curse. It got me the past 2 years. This year I just brought a whole different ski in hopes that Lady Daytona did not recognize me!!!!!!!!!

I didn't sweat the reduction nozzle much. I already knew it was paper thin. The carb issue is what baffled me

So my waterbox has one hell of a leak. I can't believe how well it's running. It's going to be amazing after I fix the leak. I have to pull the ski back apart and clean everything since there is oil everywhere. I need to check pump alignment anyway since I changed nozzles in Daytona. If anyone decides they want to run both the Kenny keepers and the 701 motor mates at the same time just know it can be done but it makes it a bitčh to take your motor in and out. I'm super happy with this hull and motor setup. It does everything I want it to do. Just takes a min to learn how to ride it.

I finished up all the tidily bits today. I hate how thrust barbs are at different angles. It would be so much easier it they were straight.

Had to replace the throttle cable. It felt smooth but when I hooked it up to my carbs it didn't want to return. I busted her off for the first time this afternoon and did a couple heat cycles. Man does it sound nasty! I cant wait to ride tomorrow.

That's what everyone says. I thought it was strange also. Like @Yami-Rider said I'm glad it broke off instead of just being cracked. Thanks for the compliment. I think it turned out nice. It's coming apart now that Daytona is out of the way and the engine is broke in and has had a few tanks through it. I'm going to go over the motor and retorque everything and going to do a couple refinements on the inside of the hull.

Ladies watch out! Dusty be ripping nipples off left or right, your choice.

I'm not into that pain stuff. As long as they are nice to mine I'll be easy with theirs haha

I haven't had a day off work in almost 3 weeks but I wanted to start putting the ski back together. I drove to @N3vrSat1sfied house last night to pick up a straight nozzle for this thing and ended up costing me way more than I planned on. Sorry about the mailbox jorden.... I wasn't going to cut the fins out of the nozzle but that's what I ended up doing. About an 8 or 10" blade on the sawzall did the trick "the torch" took about 30 seconds for each fin. Turned out pretty good I think. I also installed a xs stubby cone since I'm running a 89mm reduction nozzle and I was recommended to run a 92. Maybe that will help offset the size difference. Only a couple more things to fix before I get back on the water. My battery riser broke loose and I bought some fuel resistant rubber gasket material to hopefully alleviate my leaking thrust tank.
