Hey Guys,
In this space I aim to give you a honest representation of the Maxx hull, but to start off this is the current situation:
My name is Zane Taylor, I’m an 18 year old engineering student from Brisbane, Australia. I’ve been riding in the surf for approximately 3.5-4 years and am currently riding a Rickter FR2 Evo1 in the surf and absolutely love it.
Ive never considered a small surf/flat water boat until I actually realized how much jetski poop I had accumulated and decided to build a second ski. At this point I have a 964TPE, Complete charging electrics with MSD and lightened flywheel and a few other misc parts you accumulate over time (yes, we all know what its like). I told my dad what I wanted to do with all the parts and he is more than supportive so this will make everything a touch easier because without my dad on the build this ski will never see the water. I looked and looked for an XFS confident that it was the ski for me until I was on Facebook and came across a bloke selling these “MAXX” skis. “What the hell are these things” I remember thinking when I first when I saw how small these things really are. They instantly gauged my interest, along with his 155mm pumps, 50mm carbs and short, cool little poles. I get onto the bloke “Maxx Pichaya” and I ended up buying the bloody things because it suited my small budget.
This was the deal I jumped on. The best value ive ever seen.
All I can say in regard to buying off Maxx is he is one of THE BEST international sellers I’ve EVER dealt with. Although there is an obvious language barrier, his fast, honest service is one of the best in the business and I can assure you that he is willing to help you out in any possible way he can from the start and even after he’s taken your money.
So I’ve bought the Hull, Pump, Carbs and Pole so I guess its time to accumulate the rest of a ski. Even though most of the ski will be built in the shed, this is made so much easier when you have a bloke like Shane from Brisbane Watercraft behind you. Shane’s honest and experienced service is second to none and he is kindly willing to help out with anything involving the build and also my freeride ski so I would like to thank Shane so much because without his help I wouldn’t have 1 ski let alone 2!
Freeride Innovations jumped onboard sponsoring the build with the coolest throttle and trim levers I’ve ever seen, bilge switch, Kenny keepers, pissers, steering and bars. Martin is a top bloke to deal with also so if you are interested in any of his products jump over to http://www.freerideinnovations.co.uk
Anyway the hull arrived in no time, less than 3 weeks off memory to Brisbane. In this time I also ordered a TNT V2 Pipe after hearing the amazing reports. Im not hanging around for the V3 because lets all be honest the V2 looks way cooler.
The day my shipment arrived at the port we got it home and unboxing the crate was a challenge; Maxx does not box these things up lightly. Finally getting all my goodies inside I was absolutely astonished at the build quality. I am used to a Rickter finish and these things do not fall much shorter. Lets just say I was stoked.
The Pole, Carbs and Pump were all perfect also. No dramas. Although i think the pole might be a little long!
