8. Low Noise
a. We can ride all those places we couldn't before.
9. No polluting
a. We can ride all those places we couldn't before.

Anything else I can't think of?

Not sure about everywhere but in good 'ol komifornia they banned jetskis by length. "No vessels under X amount of feet"

Dual Stage Injection

With all of the progress in snowmobile 2 stroke tech. 800cc engines making 160+ HP etc. When is the a/m ski builders going to start using snowmobile engines? Should be easy enough for a shop like ET to CNC a jetski specific cylinder or TPE to cast a cylinder that bolts onto the snowmobile cases. Get us into the 21st century.

Didn't Eric Malone take a Polaris RMK 800 Cylinder and adapt it to his Freestyle Skis years ago? I thought all the custom jetski power-valved engines are based on snowmobile engine designs.

Of course, porting is different to account for the lack of a clutch, since jetskis are direct drive.
Cannot speak for model, but yes, Malones EME motors were based off Polaris Sled Cylinders

First, I don't believe in climate change, don't believe there is any environmental crisis, and don't think that the current 2-stroke design needs to be "fixed." But the stuff below is interesting.

Anyone from Krash on the X-h2o who can update us on this statement?

"For now, Krash Industries is in the final stages of a project that aims to develop a direct-injection engine that can meet the CARB regulations. Slated for a release in 2020, the electrical system on these engines is going to be innovation incarnate. "

From this May 10, 2019 article:

https://www.jetdrift.com/krash-industries-us-introduction/

This is interesting because it implies that there are, or may be, separate sales of the KV997 engine in the USA:

"Emissions Control Information – USA Only

All sales of the KV997, either fitted to the Krash US range of PWC’s, or sold separately, are for controlled competition use only. Installing the engine in any different application may be a violation of Federal law and subject to civil penalty. For further information please contact Krash Industries on +1 9174750138 or info@krashindustries.com All US footage used in this website was shot within the confines of the closed competition area."

From bottom of page here:

https://krashindustries.com/contact/

Finally, with respect to this thread, HUGE SHOUT OUT TO NICK BARTON AT KRASH !!!

Will he succeed? Will he overcome the inevitable problems, failures and customer complaints which inevitably accompany designing and manufacturing a brand new motor and hull?

(It is pretty disgusting that his own nation, Australia, pulled the rug out from under his product by outlawing it just when he was trying to get his RTR skis to market. Shame on Australia.)

I don't know. I hope so. BECAUSE KRASH IS THE ONLY CALL TO ACTION I HAVE SEEN FOR THE END OF THE SUPER JET IN 2020.

Quinc. Has it right: I’ve ridden and tinkered w sleds my entire life: my ski doo etec 850 engine is an awesome engine. 20 years ago two stroke engine builders couldn’t have dreamt we’d be here with such efficient powerful reliable clean two strokes
And it’s always a two stroke if you get power every crank rotation.....regardless of how fancy the control system is.
Money talks and if there was money to be made the factories would build them. Clean two stoke or four....whatever they’d build something.
This market is way too small for the giants at the Yamaha board table to even joke about it. It shocks me Yamaha makes sleds in such small numbers (all 4 stroke btw) and that market dwarfs the stand up scene.

If it wasn't for the collaboration with arctic cat they probably wouldn't still sell sleds

What and where are these banned? Only one I know of is the 2-strokes in Tahoe.
"
The sanctuary defines a "motorized personal watercraft" as any vessel, propelled by machinery, that is designed to be operated by standing, sitting, or kneeling on, astride, or behind the vessel, in contrast to the conventional manner, where the operator stands or sits inside the vessel; any vessel less than 20 feet in length overall as manufactured and propelled by machinery and that has been exempted from compliance with the U.S. Coast Guard's Maximum Capacities Marking for Load Capacity regulation (i.e. any vessel waived from Coast Guard capacity plate requirements) found at 33 CFR Parts 181 and 183, except submarines; or any other vessel that is less than 20 feet in length overall as manufactured, and is propelled by a water jet pump or drive. The term includes, but is not limited to, Jet Skis®, wet bikes, surf jets, miniature speedboats, air boats, and hovercraft. A personal watercraft rider is also considered a boater. Personal watercrafts are defined as Class A inboard boats by the U.S. Coast Guard and are required to follow most boating regulations. For more information, contact the U.S. Coast Guard or the California Department of Boating and Waterways"

This is all based on some woman saying she saw a jetskier hit a sea otter at 300 yards out..

Holy crap! Quinc is right. I forgot about California's 5 marine sanctuaries.

https://sanctuaries.noaa.gov/about/westcoast.html

I looked into this for a buddy of mine, when he got some grief on the border of one while diving.

Oh, and it is dang hard to see where the border of a marine sanctuary is while diving...

P.S. And although I promised not to talk about religious bs, you cannot argue that Environmentalism is not a religion when the Church of Sweden does this:

Church of Sweden proclaimed Greta Thunberg 'successor' to Jesus Christ

You Earth Worshipers can have Greta. I am clinging to my guns and religion (and my 2-strokes) and my God, who is Jesus Christ.

LMAO^^ Wonder how that poor kid is going to take all this in a year when no one remembers her name..

Anyone like to see how this study was done.

A carbureted two-stroke engine can emit up to 25-30 percent of its fuel unburned into the water or atmosphere, which is why high-emission engines are prohibited on some lakes. Must be why our mpg is so awful.. Out of a 5G tank 1.5gallons ends up in the water and atmosphere..

From another site:
a 2000-model PWC will dump about 4 gallons (15 liters) of unburned oil and gas into the water [source: CO Parks].

It is an example of how the climate change "studies" were done. Have you ever seen a debate by SCIENTISTS pro and con about climate change? I haven't. All I hear is from activists, lawyers and politicians. Bring on a televised debate by real scientists with peer reviewed published studies and we then can make up our minds instead of having them made up for us by the elite.

I am two strokes for life, but carb'd ones are dirty. I ride a CR250 woods bike, own two Polaris Assault 800 sleds, and a handful of two stroke skis. Its unfortunate that my bike and skis don't have the same tech in the engines as my sleds do. My skis are simply dirty compared to that Polaris 800. It uses such little oil and fuel and has much better exhaust trapping that you barely even know its a two stroke until you grab the happy flipper! I saw some write-up somewhere of the Cat DSI 8000 engine above that its using as little as 100:1 run fuel to oill at low load partial throttle. That speaks volumes for the tech.

I think it would be good for all of us if we could get better tech into our beloved two stroke skis. DI is where its at! More power, more efficiency, and better for the environment. The issue is up front cost. I am hoping Krash can make something happen. The tech is out there!

I only have limited time on this earth. Need to leave my scar as large as possible! I wonder what kind of toys we will be riding around on the moon and Mars?!? My new motto is pollute and scoot, long live the 2 smokers!
