hey, what about this idea. Get an XMetal Pole from Pat, have him deliver it un powercoated and then wrap it with Carbon......... you get the smooth lines of the X Metal with the appearance of the XFT Carbon........

You don't want to wrap aluminum with carbon. Corrosion can be a big problem. Also the x metal pole weighs almost double what the XFT weighs.

even so i don't plan on wrecking any domes so the ones that come with it should last a while unless the motor grenades///////knock on wood.

Hmmmmm.......better knock on wood for sure!!!:haha:

In ruff form but cut hand holds on both sides, tray comeing along, and started shortening the ski.Ya it was all done the back but thought about it more and more and decided it needed to be done,so i cut off everything i previously did. knocked off 1.5 in just before the plate nut.Drain no longer comeing out the rear, comeing out in the pump area. Now looking for a TBM pump cone and a 12/16 mag swirl cutback, and blue printing pump.

sweet, i have always liked the look of that 'ski.

Iv seen it done, with a stock hull and a standerd stk bigbore 85mm lamey!besides i knocked alot of weight off this ski,i dont think 30 lbs between a carbon hull vs a standerd hull is the major factor......skill,power,lots of trim, short hull, and chimed as a bounus,ow ya did i say skill///.like i said iv seen it done with less, and to top it off iv seen guys with there 66's and light hulls and still cant do it lol..IT CAN AND WILL BE DONE.THIS SUMMER ILL PROVE IT,ILL POST IT ON U/TUBE,AND IF I CANT THEN I SUCK AND ITS NOT THE BOATS FAULT. I KNOW FOR A FACT IF LENZI RODE MY SKI HE'D WIP IT OUT!!LOL

got one hand hold the way i want, then u haveto grind around the hole, round the edges, and sand the inner side.by doing this u will be able to lay carbonfiber/glass level,so when u sand flat theres still meterial holding ur hand holds.for the inside make a sump around the whole thing so glass will hold the inner side 2,beef up good water in rolls will hitt hard in there.i used my fingers and ket grabbng in there like i would in a real situation, till disired shape, use brakeup glass first for mold then carbonfiber.PICS SOON

I think you will need more than a 7mm lamey stroker in a stock hull to get that flawaterflip down. That is just my opinion though

I think you're right. There aren't very many motors that will power flatwater flips with an OEM hull. Even Parr wasn't making them all the way around and he's the man. When is the motor supposed to be delivered anyway? Hopefully soon. I can't wait to hear how it runs. Should be interesting.

I don't even think the Team Scream 1000 can do it in a stock hull. The opposite is true though, I have seen 760's and standard stroke lameys filpped in a feather light XFT hull. I don't want to start sh** but if LPW sold you the motor as a backflipping motor I would ask who has flipped one in a OEM hull, otherwise it is a empty promise.
