I think that if you want a 5 mil stroker that rocks harder than Judas priest Live..... then you should call Brian at Thrust Innovations and have zero guesswork about a hard ass ripping motor setup. His number is:

1-954-683-1463

This man builds one seriously simple and sick 5 mil stroker.

X-metal with front and rear is pretty damn loud. If you are in the ocean, it's cool, but on a lake with others around, it's pretty annoying.

I've got a 12/17 C75 Skat with a TBM and the smallest cone..... that's the shiznit in my book!

That is pretty much my drivetrain except for the ada porting and tbm flywheel. If you feel like taking a drive you can ride it next weekend.

You know I never really looked at the whole carb market. I know I have a good intake and reed cage setup. What should I through on top of them? I was going to go with the xscream modded 46s because it was the cheapest route and I have some one who can help me jet....

Any carb recommendations for me setup?

I am also trying to look at the prices (one of my biggest deciding factors...)

Any one have some prices to share?
Correct me if any are wrong...

1400- Novi 48s
1160- 49 Fullspecs
1100- 48 Fullspecs
960- Riva 48 Powerbombs
880- 48 Blackjacks
740- 46 Blackjacks
700- Xscream Modded 46s
430- Mikuni 46s

Now I know why your sold that impeller! That 5 mil setup will need a bigger wheel. I bought a set of used full spec 48s last spring and then bought a new Boyesen mani and the RAD 131a triple reed blocks. This setup makes very clean and snappy power right off the bottom on my setup. I have ridden boats with the blackjack 46s and they run very clean also. I have heard good things about the Team Scream modded 46s but have never ridden a boat with them. I don't think you will go wrong with any of the setups you mentioned. $$$ Where do you want to spend the $$$ Decisions, Decisions

if you already have the 760 coil i wouldnt remove the oem plug caps
i have heard from a very rep that the wire is made into the cap somehow
and thats what makes it better than the 701 coil...

I use BlackJacks on all my stuff, but for the money the plain old 46's are really good.

A single Novi 48 is what I am running on my 5 mil Lamey with 85.5 bore and it rips VERY HARD and pulls like a tank. Less clutter in the engine compartment and the ease of tuning one carb! PM 335 and Gilgoneround and ask them about it if you have doubts about a single setup. They have ridden it. I'm also running an enhancer and a stock flywheel. :Banane26:

I have an ATP mani....

Last summer I tried single 49 FS and dual 44s.... The 49 hit really good and used less gas.... But I feel the 44s held power longer, even tho they did ot hit as hard...

I was hoping a good set of duals would be the ticket.....

if you are building the complete package,,, why not go with a proven setup? eliminating all guess work...

look into arts 4mm/blackjack package
or xscreams 828 package

Money Money Money.... I can't afford that stuff..... I snoop and get good deals on used stuff, thats the only way I'll ever be in this sport.

So why is tuning carbs a concern in single vs dual?

FWIW, I don't think you can go all that wrong either way.
I've run both. But the tuning argument doesn't hold much water.
