you don't wanna ride 30 footers. They are deadly. We probably won't even leave the inlet. Too dangerous. I'll stick to the 10 footers a half mile in the inlet lol.

biggest I've seen is 20 footers. When you are in the trough between waves and can't see anybody else you are riding with it makes you a little scared!!

They are most likely refering to open ocean swell which means by the time it comes ashore it will be about half that size. Either way 15' is some serious $%&#&! However, if you guys do get 30' thats just stupid big. Hopefully it will be giant, clean 30' and not 100 mph treacherous storm 30'. Whatever it is, be sure and get lots of pics, even if you don't ride and its just from shore.

the best days will be two days before and after. They are calling for clean 8ft. stuff for saturday I heard. That will be nice riding. If we get the wind they are calling for during the storm it won't be worth unloading the skis though.

I ride in LBI, NJ and they have already issued evacuations for the whole island.
A 30ft wave would wipe out the whole island.

Aren't they doing mandatory evacuations for the whole east coast pretty much starting tonight/tomorrow? How does that work? Get a ticket if you get caught or? I will be staying home with my power invertor keeping my sump pump going and food cold, screw 30ft waves, it'll most likely be incredibly choppy and crap. Anyone who has big enough balls definitely take lots of pics, gopro would be sweet and be safe!!!!

If its like hear, the CG wont let you near anything when they have surf/bar restrictions for ships. They close the bay to anything under 40 foot when the waves are awsome!
