They have already sand bagged the beach entrances and boat ramps . Sucks ! The ground is so saturated here... wettest month nj has ever had !!! So any wind and trees will be taking power lines out everywhere..

Fill your bathtubs and sinks with water, and anything else you can. If you have rubbing alcohol, you can use that to bathe, in order to conserve the water you store. Many places could go under a water boil alert.

bubble bath!

lol, very nice, but not exactly what I meant.

You could be without electric for more than a week, because there are not enough contractors for this big of a storm (and you do not have a generator). So, if a water boil is issued (and you can not boil water) you use your stored water in a manner that the Colonel always liked to refer to as a French Ho's bath, but you use a wet wash cloth with a dab of rubbing alcohol on it instead, lol. That's just if things get rough though.

yeah so waves were 5-6 feet then grew to about 6-8 with the occasional 10fter. Nothing that crazy. Who knows whats to come though.

I left the ramp today with a seized piston and busted steering. Thanks Irene!

Ouch. That sucks. Get that thing fixed dude!

My son is at Quantico now. Said the weather sucks and misses NV weather A LOT lol.

I'm sure most of you on the East coast already know most of this, but here's a page from Quantico listing Hurricane prep and survival stuff.http://www.quantico.usmc.mil/Sentry/storyview.aspx?SID=5440

Hang tough everybody! Woo!
