got the fire wall formed, rear glassed, pump tunnel is done, engine bay floor is done with carbon on top. Ordered more material before Christmas, once that arrives, i can finish up the firewall thickness and do the side front and rear sides . Sorry for the lack of carbon pictures, next post. So far, everything has gone really well, feels good when something turns out how you had hoped.

Just need to form/glass the nose, plumb/foam/form/glass the tray; easy right?

Got all reinforcement and carbon done in the engine bay and tray. I plan to paint the firewall white with some gel coat to fancy it up.

got rails and fish bones all sanded down, finally. Tray is plumbed and ready for adhesive. Motor is getting bored today. Started working on foaming the nose and figuring pole bracket placement. Plus working on about a half dozen other things to hopefully make assembly a smooth process/

starting to look like a jet ski. Pic of my drain setup, still need to epoxy/glass them in when i glass the first nose layer. Trimed down the rear a bit; plan is to make a layer that i can glass the tray to later and not mess up the show surface to much.

used pink polystyrene foam in the bottom and sides and 2 part expanding foam to fill the voids. Got the first layer of epoxy filler on the bottom sanded, and have a couple more to go. Also got the UFO inserts for the battery tray/gas tank/waterbox down using gflex and a layer of carbon over that.

lots of work going on and getting done.

the 300 is 100% glassed!!! The tray is completely glassed in, the foot holds are solid. Tray feels really comfortable. I think I will like this ski!

90% of the body work on the bottom is done and wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Sprayed some primer last night to see where it was at, and I was pleasantly surprised. I've been using west systems 410 and epoxy resin as my filler, still sands harder than bondo but is worth the extra effort and cost. The top deck and nose should be less blending.

I was planning on having my body shop friend spray the color, but I think I am going to do that as well now to keep it cheap and on time. I know if I let the body shop spray it, it could take them 3 weeks to get it done and I want to ride this thing bad! My air blair hull a.k.a. Black Betty is being clear coated at the body shop right now, I will post pictures and feedback of that build when I get it back. Its gonna be sick!

Also got the wetjet motor and pump rebuilt & assembled, midshaft house rebuilt. Went through everything, added pro series reeds, ported the cases, port matched the cylinders, bored out to 82.5mm, rebuilt the carb, added an MSD ignition I had laying around. Glad I bought my 2 new factory B pipes back in December!!! sorry everyone, I hogged them.

Looking forward to riding with some of you east siders this summer!

been chipping away at it, most of the top deck body work is done with the exception of a few pesky pin holes. Hoping to spray some color by next week.

painted!
corvette yellow. turns out I can paint, probably wont wet sand/buff it since there really isn't any orange peel. Paint went down really smooth and I couldn't be happier. One spot on the bottom where some crap came out of the gun during the clear coat, I will fix it after the first ride haha. Still need to add the graphics :)
