I thought there was a limit on the width of the hull for the ski class too???

There is:

Rule 5.2.2
Watercraft competing in the Ski Division must conform to the following criteria:
1) Dry weight must be greater than 102kg (225 lb.) for 550cc classes;
2) Dry weight must be greater than 114kg (260 lb.) for 650cc and 800cc classes;
3) Hull length cannot exceed 304.8cm (120 in.);
4) Hull width must be between 50.8cm (20 in.) and 76.2cm (30 in.).

A 3-D is 44 inches wide!!!
For comparison, a SX-R is 28.7 inches wide.

I finally found that in the other thread. That's IJSBA rules, and from what I read in the other thread the APBA rules allow for 38" wide in ski class????? The 3D is still too big for either one. The 951cc motor would make a difference too.
