There are many mods that you can do to make it alot more fun for not much money.
1) If you've got the 28mm carb look for a 38 or 40mm keihin. You can get one cheap and it mounts on your existing intake with a little porting
2) Make sure you have a diverter exhaust manifold, gasket match everything, and open the headpipe to 41-42mm
3) Do the stock dry pipe mod
4) Get a straight 15 or 15.5 skat stainless impeller
Maybe $200 if you don't need the exhaust manifold. This will be a fun ski to rip around on, do long slides, surface tricks, etc. and get you tray time.
