Do not deal with jeff from wdk he is a crook you never finish the project

Thanks for the advice...Ive pretty much got things rocking along with the build[alot of work lol] . Should hopefully get the b pipe mounted next week and finish the intake this weekend...then mount it in the hull to get final welding done on the bed plate.
I sure do hope its worth all this work lol.

I would also recommend avoiding Jeff for parts, his parts are nice (most of them) so buy second hand if you can.
I don't have any video of the ski at the moment, can probably get some. I haven't been riding very much at all, been spending a lot of time riding my pitbike.

How are you mounting that b pipe?

Ive made a 5mm spacer plate that ive welded the b pipe manifold to...then ported the crap out of the manifold out past the water jacket then welded the holes and matched the port with the cylinder...it looks like im going to have to grind and weld the header pipe to clear the powervalve. As soon as i get it all sorted il try and post some pics...The pics will help show how ive had to run extra cooling lines to get around the problem of the waterports not lining up. Its been alot of standing, drinking, thinking, looking, messuring, drinking and doing it all again lol.

you are going to have a very agressive port transfer in the 5mm spacer plate. good luck.

Yes it is but like you im just wanting to do this on the cheap first and seem i had everything laying around im the shed it hasnt cost to much...If im happy with the power with the b pipe i will get a custom manifold made later on. Its just a little side project ive got going on and if it works..AWESOME and if it doesnt i can put the motor i some other ski and sell it with no major cost lost....Rite now with bed plate made, intake made,b pipe manifold sorta made, new pistons and one new clyinder it owes me $720nzd which is about $400usd...so if i can keep it under $1000nzd il be pretty happy to end up with 120hp

You will need to lengthen the chamber of the b-pipe, the higher port timing will push peak hp rpm up

Not going to be able to lenghtin the pipe at all as it just about hits the stock tank and as it sits the end of the pipe is level with the entry pipe to the water box....

I have used a riva 62t intake manifold and cut it in half...Should i use 62t reeds and cages or stick with the larger stock reeds and cages?

Just a little up date...Got the motor in and going over the weekend...I had the jetting a little rich to run it in but it still felt nice and strong...Im going to give it a little more compression and try and lighten the flywheel to get that extra snap but im very happy with it so far.
Im running a hooker 10/16 impeller which seems to be handling the power ok but im going to try the scat trac 14/22 that came out of the gp800 just to be sure.
All in all i think it was worth the work and its going to be a fun ski for our up and coming summer.

Thanks to everone the gave help and advice.

what mounting kit did you use? Upright? What chamber? Did it hit the cases near the started?

I used a mod chamber and yes it hit the cases so i ground off what i could from the cases then had to dent the pipe a bit...I didnt have to dent the pipe much once the cases where ground down...I[and Dan] built an upright kit. I may look into shorting the mid shaft later on to try and get the motor back about 50-80mm...Then i could look at lenghting the b pipe chamber. Buts that probably next winter lol
