What is the biggest you can bore out a 62t motor without having to replace the crank, sleeves and not have to run race fuel?
85 mm is the most u can go on a 62t cylinder......The crank dose not matter...........What are u trying to accomplish?

It depends on your cylinder. A 61x and 62t 701 cylinders can go out to 83mm max, but add big bore sleeves, and you can build a 771 or bigger motor. A 62t 760 cylinder can be bored to 86mm, due to it's larger sleeves.
why would i have the stock carbs sent out to get worked on instead of getting bigger ones? also why keep the stock ignition and not go to the total loss? I understand the light weight flywheel just what i have read about the total loss and ignition, thats the thing to do? also does anyone have jetworks, and jetmaniacs number to be able to get a hold of them? I use a pro-tec trim system on my Octane that i modified to get more angle. what would be the best nozzle? I take it the small nozzle i go the more low end i get? I do have a prop for my altitude in it now and its a low end prop. let me know what you guys think. I am out for the season with this ski because of pulling the motor and building the 701 so i have time and am not in a rush to get it in.
I ran it on my superstock motor at the finals n 99 and to me it seemed not to make a big diffrence. I did like all the adjustments with the timing. But for a "recreational flatwater freestyle" just think u could spend money elsewhereIn my opinion, total loss is one of the biggest performance increases money can buy.

Ya i do agree with you piratelife with spending my money else where. just trying to get this motor to rip even with being in a Octane that is a bigger and heavier ski. I am going to also be using the Octanes stock Factory B pipe on this motor. I am debating if i want to get it bored to a 750 or just go all out and do the 850 bore kit groupk offers. I do still want this ski to be reliable, and just dont know if it will be anymore with getting bored out to a 850cc.
yeah sure was...Had the dry pipe from coffmans exhaust before it came out (protype pipe) magnum pump total lossUmm isn't the 62t cylinder made more for top end because of the port timing? So shouldn't he be looking for a 61 cylinder and just get that ported? Instead of spending the money on total loss why don't you buy a RN hull that way u will feel a big increase since you will lose the weight of the octane?
Hey pirate life was that a race ski you had the total loss on?
Ill definitively keep that in mind with the 845 kit, i agree it is a lot of money that i dont really have right now with a wife, 2 year old son, and another one of the way. that is why i am keeping the hull and changing the motor. Ill more than likely just go to the 84mm and have it ported, i will also get a head and a lightened flywheel. i still dont know about the carbs. I know that i can send the stock ones into groupk and get them worked on, but im still not really convinced that those carbs will run better than a bigger aftermarket carb? also Piratelife i think you are the first person i have heard saying not to get the total loss. im not saying it as a bad thing just surprised. I havent really looked into the total loss system, my guess is that it gets rid of the entire electrical system including the CDI? does it also come with a lightened flywheel? also i ended up buying an 02' super jet motor today. oh i forgot to mention i live at 5500 ft. elevation.
