Do you have an intake grate?

No intake grate on mine. A lot of it was for me to get the correct form. Practicing the 180 to flips really helped me to get the bars into my chest and throw my head back.

Why no intake grate? Nice attempts, glad you finally got it around!

I don't use an intake grate either. It hooks up too good with one, you can carve that thing like crazy but to get it to slide any you need to take it off.

Nice looking ski. Not a big fan of the looks of a chan but im starting to come around. Im kinda thinking about buying one now rather than a SF. Yours looks sick with that rrp pole. Have any pictures you can post up? Also, Is the gel coat on the bottom of your hull chipped off? thought i saw that part way through the video as you were flipping the ski back upright...Good work bro!

Ill try and get some pics up later. Yeah the bottom has cracks all over that go through the hull. I am getting a replacement though
Builder is standing by his product and fixing for you? Good customer service like that makes me want to go that way, plus he is only a few hours away so no shipping cost :woot:

Thanks guys, can't wait go out this weekend and work on them some more. Have to patch my hull first lol. Its crazy how when you finally land something like that it turns your drive in the sport on that much more

Honestly, watching how great ur progression was in just one day has given me new hope. I started flipping in mid July and like I said I'm stuck at the first few. Getting to between 4-6 on the clock. I have plenty of height just not the rotation. Ill post up some video soon. So to keep your thread on topic: thanks for giving me hope and keep posting video

Yep, Tyler is out there making me look bad lol! Good work man, I need to cut my plate and work on my form. I guess I need to yank my intake grate too. That's what the cool kids are doing.

Thanks swap. You can try my ride plate if you want before you cut yours. Yeah id also try it with the intake grate off. I forgot to try your grate on mine to see how it does

I will be sure to keep posting as I progress. pulling those bars to my chest you can instantly feel the ski rotate faster. Some tips I was told were to rotate with the ski, dont be dead weight. As you leave the water kick your feet forward to help as well. bars in the chest with head back and you should be golden. Im no expert but these tips helped me out a lot. Another thing that took getting used to was the force of the boat wake as compared to trying it on a setup wake.
