Are the stator and flywheel from the same motor? I have never seen 62t electronics but is it possible to put one flywheel on the other system?

Here is a closer picture.

Pictures iv seen have a tab with an arrow pointing to the groove. my tab seems to be broken off.

They came in the same engine but I don't know the history at all. Can anyone tell me what flywheel this is or how to identify the stator and flywheel?

I wonder if your still chasing the cause of the original failure. Obviously the intake side has been modified.

Anyone have any advise about what to do with my timing? Because the arrow on the case side is broken off I don't have anything to match the mark on my stator to. Anyone know what could have broken those tabs around my stator?

have U tried to use another cdi , it could also be cdi related because i had a msd enhancer break down on me and the ski wouldnt stop backfiring

I forgot I can use my blasters CDI i believe to test that. I would like to test one change at a time though.

Any one have suggestions for jetting or carb setup?. I have a 701 with an ADA head, 35cc domes, b pipe, dual 44s and aftermarket reeds and stock electronics, for now.

I found this in another thread, I don't have porting or total loss but would this be a good place to start?

The carbs you are using are for 760cc im not sure what jetting it needs if u want to run it on a 701
I would recommend in buying duel 38's it would be much more suitable for your engine , and it will be much easier to tune it

look at the wear pattern left on the stator plate if there is one from where the screws were holding it down on the last motor

I was looking at the picture of your stator mounted in the cases. For some reason on my skis I cant remember it ever being centered up with the slots

Looking at your picture you might have the timing a bit off. The arrow on the tab is in the center so id try to align the mark on the stator with an rough eyeball of the tab center

Looks like your timing might be a bit retarded which probably isn't your issue. Pull the stator off and scratch a line in what's left of that boss. There is a casting line directly in line with the timing mark to use as reference.

Thanks guys, I have new carb parts on the way and I will put it back together and try again, if the slight adjustment docent work Ill swap CDIs and go from there.
