701 Footrocket build

Had a bit of the same problem with my 701 last year. The timing was right on but when I took the exhaust manifold off I found a real bad leak in the gasket.

Just a sample from a motor and stator I had laying around the shop, looks like the bolts should be centered in the slots.

But other than that it's looking good

Made a new mark, and put the stator and flywheel back on, put the carbs back together with new jetting, n/s and springs.

I decided to go with a few watt holes from thrust for bilge switch and primer. While the motor is out I'm going to install my bilge pump, and the watt holes. I forgot to install this stuff the first time because I had a buddy in town to help and we put it together in two days.

I am installing an x metal trim system, can someone tell me how to seal the trim cable?

I picked up a b pipe coupler to do the coupler mod, is there anything else I should know? Its my first time putting in a trim system.

I do not have room for hose and a clamp, is that rubber seal made for these cables or is that a part i might find locally?

I doubt you can find locally. Skat and Thrust sell them, but you can also just put some silicone to seal or use hose with cables ties instead of clamps.

Looking forward to riding with you guys! Ended up having some carb issues, and a crossed wire in my ebox. Got the ski finished up in time for a quick test ride last weekend. I am so excited about how the ski rides, coming from a 650 sn this thing seems like it will be everything I was looking for. I have only been on stock skis and a roc so I was really looking forward to seeing how it handles. Only had about 25 min on it and I was braking in a new top end but just cruising around was a blast, it is so responsive and nimble. Thanks again to my buddy art, and x2mafia for the help and jetmaniac for all the parts and top notch service. Gonna be a good summer!
