the difference is that two part foam where you pour part A with B has a chemical reaction that causes it to expand and harden.... on the other hand the can foam that you used needs air to expand. There is a chance that all of that foam did not dry and will leave voids.

IF I HEAT IT WITH A HEAT GUN WHILE IT IS DRYING DO YOU THINK IT WILL DRY BETTER?

I see. I wish i knew that ahead of time. Should we use a heat gun and try to heat it up to help dry? Or should we leave extra time for the foam to dry before we glass?

i wouldnt worry about it now that you have the holds epoxied in.

a heat gun would not do any good helping the foam drying inside the gun wale. just make sure that you do a nice job on the glass to seal it up and give some strength. after all there are people out there that have no foam at all in their hulls.

Ya thats what i was thinking about people not using foam at all so i didnt think it would matter much. Tbaer is over in his garage messing around with it, but i think we will just let it dry over night and glass in the morning.

alright guys the turf is complete and I rode it today. I love the holds. I worked on my subs all day and got them done pretty decent. Sorry i havent had time to get pics of the completed ski. I will try soon...

Also Tbaers SJ is pretty sick too. LOTS of throttle response. Way diffrent handling then the 750sx but very fun ski. and so far its reliable unlike mine.

Sorry i havent posted pics. its been a little crazy latly. I am acuttly in JAX, FL right now for the marine corps so i am not with my ski. I will get the turfed pics up soon. I gotta say i never want to ride without footholds again. such a awsome diffrence

i wasnt there when they travis turfed it but he said he never wants to turf again. He did a pretty decent job. Although there is no padding in the hold and no turf in the very toe of it. If you were to put some there then the hold is to tight for shoes

theres padding on the outside just not in the inside of it. It worked pretty well so far. I havent busted any big tricks with them yet as i really cant. but they worked excellent for nailing my subs with no feet pain. ( i wear shoes with them as well)

I wont be headed to the ski this weekend so the pics will have to wait again. while my ski sits there in a non running no spark condition. Its killing me i want to get it fixed but i dont feel like driving 180 miles each way for the weekend when i should be there tuesday

Ok sorry for such delay here you go the pics. The turf is not perfect but its pretty good for our first turf job. the rails are all one peice except in the hold then the dash is on peice and the base. So there isnt nasty seems like some i have seen.
