well, slowly but surely...got the ride plate cut. I already had it cut flush with the hull when the hull was stock length so I just radius'd it back into the new length. maxwell house coffee can and a jig saw did the trick. I didn't want to cut it too short because I wanted to leave some protection for the steering nozzle. looks pretty sick!!! I also got the one and only exhaust back in too!! I love breathing in Amsoil fumes!!!

need some advice guys. I read the porting 101 threads and I have't decided how I'm going to cut the intake side of the sleeve. I got the template set up flush with the bottom in pic 1 and in pic 2 I have it lined up with the curves. any suggestions?

ski looks good so far.

where did you get the drains you put in the back of the hull on both sides? do you have a pic of them before they went in?

now on to the clean stuff! I thought I would go ahead and replace the crank seals because this is a virgin motor from 95. I chased the oem locktight out before reassembly. The seals werent in bad condition but good to replace them anyways. Wasn't impressed that my timing was retard 1 degree stock, must have been a friaday motor...I was definitly missing out on some bottom end hit last summer...I gonna go with the 3 degree static advance from stock. I running stock ignition so should be a safe move. Lookn for a TL for the future though!!! Got some pics of some more power adders aswell. Cheers!!!

I forgot!
i always loved engine work. Ain't jetskis cool!!! just wait till you crank it over once it is all done. nothing like the sound of a jetski motor fire up that you got to rebuild yourself.

Gotter all together minus turf and new nosepiece. Took the day off work to assemble it, gonna take'er for a ride tomorrow. I think I'm going to pile on 3 wetsuits lol the temp today was 10 degrees. Fired it up, runs so crisp and clean, sounds like she gonna rip!! I'm saving the hood mods for winter, gotta ride this thing before the lake freezes over!
