so i really did some digging around in the ski today changed some plugs and fuel lines noticed its got the westcoast duel carb set up and a full pjs pipe and exhaust manifold anyone got any good info on either of the two likes dislikes?

I lot of people use amsoil interceptor, its good stuff. Another good oil is pennzoil full synthetic 2 stroke marine from walmart which is half less. Generally most people use a synthetic oil.

What carbs did you find on it? Take pictures if you can't tell. The PJS pipe is definetly better than a stock pipe, but most people would go with a coffmans or uncut westcoast for more power. I would keep it on there, not worth upgrading IMO.

no such thing as a 1994 650sx. 1993 was the last year. look at the last 2 #s of the hin tag on the back. the pjs pipe is the worst aftermarket pipe made for power. a dried out stock pipe is about as good. the best pipes are factory or coffmans, but i've had skis with westcoast pipes go fast enough to make your eyes water. dual carb 38s are a big power upgrade but if they are the old round body 38s, they are a pain to keep tuned unless they have been upgraded with the new viton needles and set up with really low pop off since the fuel pumps are weak.

You got a good pipe! that pipe runs good probably close to factory pipe I have that same one
you need to get your psi up to 175-180 and a bigger prop the stock aluminum is a horrible

post up a compression test numbers and you want a lightened flywheel

can you post a pic of the back side of the carbs

7 holes in the water box is gonna be way loud 3

mill your head and run this alot more power guaranteed combined like 4-6hp at 180psi!

milling the head is 2.75-4hp

small pin is a bad motor the reason why they broke cranks and pistons and power is only 58 hp

If there west coast carbs and you mill the head and seams to run right you might be lucky and there tuned if its running correctly now? I bet your down to 130psi or so which is mega from 180psi

its a 50mph pocket rocket with 180psi and prop
I have the same boat but im running a tru bored pjs 38 kehin

the ski fires right up and seems to run pretty good i ordered the 2 block off plates one for oil pump and the one for the crank and all the gaskets for the motor im going to pull it out monday or sometime next week just to go through the whole ski clean the hull put a bildge pump in and i dont have the stock water box i have a coffmans or what seems to be a pjs one i wont know untill i pull the engine and tank, right now the thing is loud as can be because the guy who had it before me bypassed the waterbox so its just straight piped right to the back, i will also take some compression readings before i pull it out for you guys and i looked at the vin tag ends in to so i believe its a 92' ?

yeah post up some compression numbers , I bet your motors tired

the straight pipe probably loses power they need a certain amount of back pressure
I would try and get the coffman or pjs unit working but post a pick of the setup when you pull the motor, those auto premix setups always fried motors on these too bad

i dont use the auto premix i just premix it before and thats what the guy did who owned it before me he just never blocked any of it off i dont need to drill any holes in the coffman or pjs water box do i thats just if its stock?

actually that pipe they made a 700cc version that was said to run decant on a 750 definately lost some power to factory . So i would I would run a bigpin(if thats what you wana do) with that pjs pipe. mill the head to 175-180psi and get a light flywheel rejett and thats it besides a prop that would probably be a 14/19? and you'll probablty be at 84-85hp!

you can take a chance on a small pin thats all you can get .its gonna be 5-8hp more than a 650 with that pjs pipe
and another thing theres nowhere to mount the 750's electronics most strap it to the gastank!!! does that sound safe?

post some pics of the waterbox I cant tell

I wouldnt drill holes the pjs or coffmans is gonna make maybe 1-2hp more than a stock one
and be louder than stock

that pipe runs real good!!! I think its a works pipe and the 650 really needs duells(GAS) shim the plate down with like quarter inch washers at the back holes, might need a little more, also ride as far forward as possible not on the back

760's too much its real dangerous the ski comes out from underneath you and you face plant at 57

run the castor green it will be 3.2+ hp or so
mix with a empty tank (use premium)of gas 40.1 or 32.1 to be safe
9-17 skat is 4mph and power everywhere.15''s junk like the stock pipe
dales total loss is probably 3-6hp

another thing cut about a inch and a quarter off the top(or you will run into plastic) off the top of the pole pad. it makes the your view and feel off the ski better aswell as looks alot better I think

hey also they got osterich skin(in white)look cool, you could rap the bumpers($25ea) in at jettrim. just send them all the parts side rails, engine hood pads , pole pad etc and they"ll make a custom one for 140 or you can use hydro turf, i just dont like any of there designs really

they shoulda done that from the factory?
