Super Jet 95' SuperJet top end rebuild

Hello everyone, I'm new here and this is my first post. I want to say thank you because this form has been very helpful in restoring a 1995 SuperJet I recently picked up (my first standup). Anyways I plan on installing a bilge pump next week and while I have the motor out I figure I could replace the pistons as well. Currently its running an even compression of 125. The motor is all stock and I have not ridden it yet but it does run. I'm hoping to get the opinion of more knowledgeable people than myself. So at 125 on both cylinders would a top end rebuild be recommended? If so would this be the correct rebuild kit (link at the bottom of my post) if not would anyone have any recommendations on a rebuild kit? I just have two more kind of off topic questions. I ordered a new nose cover that came primed and i would like to try and match it to the stock white paint as closely as possible. I have been unable to find any color codes or any information at all really about shade of the stock white paint. If anyone has any information on that I would really appreciate it. Lastly I would like to ask about that battery ventilator contraption that comes out of the hull at the base of the pole Is that something I can take off with a maintenance free battery? I haven't done any research on it yet and sorry if that has come up on here before but since I'm posting I figured I might as well ask quick. Thank you!

id remove the vent if you have a sealed battery
also compression should be around 150 on a stock motor
but your even so i say run it ! your gauge may be off
ill see if i can find the color code

Awesome, I appreciate that I've looked all over the place and haven't found much. My gauge should be accurate I bought it new the day before I checked the compression and got 125 on both. If I'm running even compression would there be any worthwhile advantage to rebuilding at this time?

It's still probable that your gauge is wrong. It is unlikely both cylinders will show the same compression if it was indeed low. If there is even compression than I wouldn't worry about a top end right now.

Yep as long as cylinders are within 10% your good. 125 id run. most i would do on a rebuild is a light ball hone and new rings, keep the pistons.

if you are taking the motor apart, replace your crank seals with OEM seals, make sure you take your time sealing the cases and torquing the motor.
