So i just did a search on props and no good results.

I am forced to buy a new prop after I stepped on a zebra mussle to the bone and had a buddy take my boat back to the launch. After hour night time fishing accident.

I have a 96 SJ with a B pipe, girdled head (175 psi), Advent Ignition and Boysen reeds. I need to know the best prop for flatwater freestyle.

I need to ride when I heal up next week.

:haha:Im with stupid

Do you cut it back yourself or send it out to be cut back?

Sounds like the Skat Track 12/17 swirl is the most preffered? Anyone else have feedback?

Anyone ever order a custom prop from Blowsion? I see they have a huge selection (too big, its confusing) and they will cut them back for you.

Interesting, Skat trac recommends the 12/17 swirl for a stock motor and a 14/19 swirl for a limited in a freestyle applicaiton. Has anyone compared these 2 props?

For a ltd. that you want the most top speed from you would want that 14/19, but most freestyle/freeriders sacrifice a little top end for more bottom end hit. More so with the flatwater riders as they need every ounce of bottom they can find. Hope this helps.

You can send it to Paul Lehr at www.lehrperformance.com too. He cuts back impellers also.

Just talked to Jack at the Skiclinic.com and he recommended the 13/17 Solas Dominator, I bought it and hope it works. Crap just took my prop out and it was a 14.5 / 18 solas straight cut (old race ski). My thought is this is a good thing that happened to me in th FS world but man props aren't cheap today. I'll post my 13/17 comments but please feel free to chime in and correct my judgement. If any one needs a dinged up race prop to send to Impros let me know.

Any updates about how you like the new prop ?

First of all it was hard to install, The hardest part was getting the drive shaft off the prop. I never would have been able to get this off without the proper tools and a vise. I recommend using a wrench with a pipe on the end of it for leverage. Once I got it appart putting it back together was a piece of cake. I used antiseize on the threads incase I have to do this again.

The prop definitly has betterlow end but is missing a little midrange. I found out my ski had a worx pumpstuffer on it and people recommend getting rid of that ASAP. Instead of buying a new intake I used a dremmel to cut off the pump stuffer and will just use the scoop intake grate. I hope this works, I hear it will make a big difference. I'll let you know how it goes.

Awesome:)

I have a Solas J right now and have a 12/17 Skat-trak swirl race finished and balanced cutback 3mm on the way... i think i'll swap to the 12/17 and see how it is.

You used the vice, yamaha driveshaft tool, and a wrench with a pipe right :)

Yes a Vice, Yamaha Driveshaft tool, The impeller tool that came with the impeller and big wrench. I used a hammer on the wrench and that didnt help so we found a pipe. Oh I sprayed WD-40 in there and let it sit a while, that seemed to help break it loose.
