Picked up my paint. Its Nason single stage urethane, "Toyota Super White". Supposed to be a really bright white. Should look awesome.

Nice, White is classy. I made the mistake of painting my bottom hull already b4 I knew the full project I was getting into.

I'm going to buy a paint gun and paint the hull black now and try to make it look really good. Still gotta research all the paints to find the most durable.

Gonna finish the outside of the hull with a finer cloth tomorrow, then on to reinforcing inside of where I cut off.

Just put on final outside layer. 8.9 oz cloth, real fine.

While it was drying I worked on my pole bracket. Anyone have any input on how tall/short I should make it? What is stock height?

Glassed inside. It's nice not having to worry about how it looks on this inside part. Lol

Filled in some cracks and holes with thickened epoxy and chopped fiberglass. Used cardboard wrapped in wax paper for a backing.

Well its not all just for this ski... Two other SN's and 2 couches. Still probably overkill though haha.

Got a ton done today. Finished sanding and blending both sides, figured out my drain plugs (really happy with how they turned out) and sealed everything up. Tomorrow ill be putting foam in and re-glassing tray.

Went ahead and popped the pump nuts/inserts out and re-glued them in.



Heres a pic of my trim tube. I set it up just like the OEM steering tube works. Trim cable will seal with OEM thru-hull seal and screw into the pvc tube.


For the drain plugs I got stainless allen bolts. Welded washer to nut, cut out hull in shape of nut then glued in.

Nice idea on the drain plugs..mine are hideous. Might take em out and do that.

Thanks. Yea, I had some OEM drain plugs from a raider but they were just to bulky to fit under the exhaust on the right side. With these I didn't have to move the exhaust pipe at all.

Did the foam today and a couple other odds and ends. Tomorrow I will reinforce the tray with a layer to two of 1708 biax. Would've done that tonight but I had to glue the tray piece in place.




Found a loose motor mount insert. Drilled around it and poured epoxy into holes.

Trays in! 2 layers of 1208 biax. Also put another layer of fiberglass on the footholds.




Also started on the hood liner. Got the shape/mold done, and lined with duct tape. Hopefully this week I'll get the liner made and glued in.

I was gonna say...any thoughts on widening the tray since you have it all opened up already? But looks like ya sealed it. lol
