Custom/Hybrid A mindless backie chan

There's a lot of time and custom stuff that goes into my builds. I don't just bolt them together. Every detail affects the rest of the components. It's not a fast process, but the end result speaks for itself.

Hopefully it will be ready soon. It's 22 here now so we need a break in the weather anyway lol.

Yeah, I can't begin to describe all the little details Phil puts into his build.s Yes, it's a little slow, and maybe a bit tedious, but it's CORRECT and is built so I can keep on riding without stuff getting trashed due to poor fit or alignment.

Shiny new carbs. A little surprised that DASA puts zero exterior markings on the carb (sticker etc) to show that it's a DASA carb.

This will look nice mounted to the PHP intake manifold bolted up to the TPE 964!

Made some good progress today, although it still looks mostly the same lol.

Haha true. The trim is installed. The trim cable is sealed and installed as well as all the rest of the cables. The water box has been final test mounted and we've added padding behind the water box to ensure the water box doesn't move.

So the build is complete. So the hood pin set up does bump the water fitting on the power factor chamber with the way it was originally set up from Steve. Phil had a great idea to use button head bolts, and add time certs to the hood pin holder. There's now plenty of clearance!

We took the chan out for a couple of sessions to break the motor in.
This thing's gonna hurt someone! The power is unreal for a stock stroke, and I'm really pleasantly surprised at how stable and predictable the hull is.

Yes the chan has been flipped multiple times. Video to come.

Here's some short video of recent testing in 38 degree water. Not my best riding by any means, but trying to get this thing close. Pump (Solas 144) was way too loose on this first outing.
