I like that one too. I think Wydopen and JB are both big into the mountain bikes, and if so, they would be great "ambassadors" if you will allow the term.

i guess when i think of "sacriifices," i think more of my buddy who gets dizzy and feels sick to this day after his hummer getting hit by an ied in baghdad.... being broke cuz your trying to get get to a comp doesnt quite deserve sympathy in my book

they tried that with Nitro Circus and all they could do is show our top riders riding a couch pulling those clowns around on a tube... WTF!

Hook one of their guys up at the surf slam with us...air time on tele. Pete could do that to get out there maybe. Let one of their guys give it a whirl as was done not long ago. Other ESTABLISHED industries sponsor their guys with PR time.

My opinion is that you have to think past that and focus on the goal of the entire network (or at least those at the top and others which are attempting to assist them)...think BIG! Most people (I realize you have already said you are not one of them) proclaim they support this network. If the network takes off, your vendors will profit, when they profit, it is good for all (even those such as yourself).

There are plenty of sponsors out there for Pete,he just needs to think outside the box a little more,Band-aid would be a good one,also TIDE ,Prozac,Ritalin and INFRACT-AWAY might even be interested,he could be like the Billy Mays of freestyle.

I missed the entire 101 thread and I barely read this one but I have an idea of what happened.

If I rode like Pete and had the potential to compete on that level (care less about cash/trophies....just to push myself with Ross and everyone!!) I would ask for money to help too. Personally, I would want to travel alone and fast. Wife would get it. Its business...... one can just ride anywhere.

I am asking a couple of companies for 100k to compete in the wetdog 2,000 mile race of which I will go to alone....and win.

when you give someone a present, it's not because they control you. she told me it wouldn't matter one way or the other if I cut it or not, but I know how she really feels about it, and so I leave it alone. it's not a "control" issue.

He should try and get the President to sponsor him. That way the richest freerider competitors would have to pay his way out to cali and his entry fees. Easy as that.

i "support" this network.im part of the only group that does. I PAY for my parts. ive spent way more than i should have on parts for my boats...id rather have them cost less, but its really more important that "pros" get free motors. haha No offense Cuong! i dont really care, its not my bidnis ')
