you havent heard of problems with ada heads? search your forum bro!
im not making this stuff up, cold fusion specifically didnt make his head like all the others to avoid this common problem all together.

Can you give me some thread links? If it's that prevalent, then I probably would have noticed or had friends with problems, so please point them out to me. I'd say you're the one with the burden of proof on this one, so give evidence to back up your claim.

Personally, I've cracked a cylinder before and won't run anything other than a full girdle and the Cold Fusion is a half girdle, so that rules it out for me. Also, my ADA is 4+ years old now with no problems.

not gonna butt heads with the master mod. just sharing my experiences and what the creator of the nicest parts on the market has told me.

Hmmm...one of the best engine builders for over 30 years with XS has been advocating ADA heads for years ! he also likes to 1211 the domes to head contact surfaces and torque all the bolts much more...no issues with mine in three years...

Darin is only asking for links. He has not seen anything about them. For that matter neither have I. I have had the same head since 2003. No Issues.

Please post links.

Nobody is butting heads.

ADA heads and domes do go bad, mostly caused by detonation over time that causes the domes to wiggle little by little over time and wear down the seats in the head and some on the dome face where the o-rings are mostly, but I have seen wear on the top of domes too. Measure both domes for thickness and compare the two against each other to see if maybe you have one bad dome.

bingo, I had the same problem with my ADA head a couple years back. Like chucky said, it was the top of the dome that started to spin a bit causing the surface to wear and create enough clearance to eventually blow o-rings. I actually had to replace the head shell too.

Not sure this qualifies as a design flaw, but it does seem some have had this happen.

From what I have read and learned from Kommander, the domes will move and "spin" slightly on the ADA heads. Anytime you have metal to metal moving, it will eventually wear. That is why JSU/Kommander domes lock into the head. I have had no issues with my ADA head. I installed it last year in which it was previously installed on a race ski.

Sounds like this isnt a ADA flaw, but due to detonation.

did you really need to add this? i would hope you and darin know how to search.
just remembered another person with a trashed ada for the same reason.
heads getting ruined from detonation on nearly stock motors running 160-180 psi an 91 octane? i dont think deto is the problem.
all the engine builders know of this issue, now you all do too. :usa2:

Personally I just like it when people make claims that they back it up with info for people to see. Just because you say that CF makes the best head does not mean squat without having some kind of info to back it up.
