So what exactly happened? I couldn't catch what broke but it sounded like he just wouldn't let go of the ski when it was sinking? he would have let go eventually...right?

Looks like he was trying to roll off a good size double-up wake but didn't commit, hit the water with his head and maybe hit the ski too. I dunno.

Katie and I were there watching the jets from our room on the 37th floor. didn't even know about a ski show.

Water was very rough this weekend wish we had our skis up there. There was a lot of large boat traffic.

Glad he is ok the ski is not worth a life.

At :35 right after she says "his jetski broke on impact and he would not let go of his ski" you can see the handpole/bars sticking out of the water. That is one way to get half a barrel roll on TV. (gil you taking notes?)
