I got a few reasons..... I haven't been riding it as much as I should... When I'm out riding it I don't ride it as hard as I did my SJ's. I think its because the amount of money I have in the Rickter. It would take 30+K to replace my Rickter, sure makes it hard to beat on, lol

Still a thought, I would be open to a SJ & cash...... I miss my LPW ski that I sold in January (Damn you junkyardj)

Josh I woudnt worry bout it man...you are definatly NOT going to recoup what you got in it....not to mention, all the really high dollar parts wont get F'd up.....the money's spent, it doesnt cost you anything to keep it...and you use your boat WAY less...

keep in mind, summertime we ride lots..but the waves dont get good til fall..the best is yet to come

just keep it and ride it the rest of your life!

yeah thats understandable. but skrew it. it just a jetski and its ment to be destroyed right!!!! ok maybe not.....

good recovery..some jetskis are meant to be destroyed.......10K carbon hulls are NOT

Just get a stock hull from Thrust, reinforce it and transfer everything to it. You will still get good money for the rickter hull. Just a thought.

a much less expensive hobby is "drunken lawn darts".

And it's something you can do well into your retirement years.

lol.

Do what ya gotta do. But think it thru.
We like having a dick on a 1000 cc Rickter around!

seriously tho its the last ski you'll ever have to buy. its literally got every part you'd ever want. wicked nice ski josh.

well yeah not destroy intentionally..... but if it was mine, i wouldn't be scared to ride the living poop out of it. goes with the territory. but hey im just a thrasher at heart. :bigok:

BIG makes up for a lot of style.

You got the Rickter and quit going big. You really could have done the "style" thing with the LPW. But you went big with the LPW. You went big with the "free willy".

Style is good.

Big is awesome.

To me.

The rickter is not keeping you from big.

sorry if that sounded suzi-ish. you know what I mean!!

O.K. That was kind of incoherent.

What I'm trying to say:

Don't try to live-up to the ski! We all know it can do awesome things.

Ride it like you would ride the LPW or Free willy.

Meaning...not trying flips on 1 foot waves in 6 inches of water etc......
You're not gonna hurt that thing if you ride like you did b4.

Trying to live-up to what the ski can do? That will cost.

I'm just looking at my riding over the past 6 months, I was really pushing hard on the Superjets. Going big and trying new stuff every ride. It's like I just stay content on the Rickter. I don't want the motor swamped, don't wanna break it, you know what I mean.

Who knows, I'm looking forward to Mondays Ride.

I here ya Idok! I love the way my Rickter rides, it really is the best surf hull!

It's still a thought! Will confirm after Mondays ride

I saw Josh LAUNCH an off the lip on this beast that would rival any humanoid I've seen. Dam it Josh snap out of it , the waves are coming.

I'm looking forward to Monday.....

I wouldn't change nothing about this ski, it's perfect! Just a lot of money to take a chance with! Sink it in the ocean and it maybe gone!

the "treasure couch" has got you thinking about lost skis and salvage rights

if you sink that thing I'll be out there with a hooka until I find it.

lotta truth in that,I use to hate workin on skis, but come winter if I dont start some kinda ski project I totally lose interest and start spending to much money on car stuff.
But then there is the project addiction also, when everything is done that can possibly be done....there goes half the fun.Time to start a new build...its a dealy cycle lol

Josh ill answer your problem easy, you need to build something, the itch is calling.buy a cheap stock rn and have at it building the hull up like it needs to be,stick with the stock cylinder, port it and the cases nicely and stick with the basics, even the 38s,dirt cheap build, its a challange to build hp with the basics but can be done easy for surf boat.

Then on nasty big surf days you have a boat you can push yourself and dont mind swamping .ride the rickter when its nice clean and smaller, the only time you need that kinda power anyway
