How much further back or forward can you move the engine compared to where it sits using the stock round nose midshaft?
Great build so far!

It has spacers you install behind the couple on either the midshaft or crank side.. That's how you can move the engine forward or back... Right now I'm running just the spacer on the midshaft..

It's a cool system ...

But yes you keep the RN midshaft..

id love to have a white xfs/xfr in my fleet. they are the coolest looking skis - period!

i see you have the firewall mounted gas tank pictured, but seeing where you installed the battery, are you scrapping the gas tank idea?

great build - more pics!

Yeah Roo my first plan was to have the firewall tank and a front jazz 2 gal tank... Was going to run the pickup on the jazz tank to the vent on the firewall tank. So you could have just the rear tank or both for long rides..

Problem was things got real tight, you have to mount the ebox to the side of the hull, also you have to mount the battery in front of the power factor water box... After laying everything out I didn't like that setup.

I have a 3 gal Jazz tank coming, will mount the ebox on the firewall.... Setup like this should be the same weight at the firewall as with running a rear tank if not more weight near the center since I have the battery there..

I learned the more centered the weight (center CG ) the better over all the ski rotates in all axis... Then just adjust ride plate length for desired ride.

Some people just can't ride these short hull, always here I can't get the nose down.. I haven't had that problem with the Xfs , maybe I'm just use to short hulls now.

More pics today...

i picked up a firewall mounted gas tank. i'd like to make it work in the superfreak but doesn't fit quite right...

i'd like to do what your original thoughts were but i agree, things will become really tight and a bitch to layout / get right.

i can't imagine NOT riding a short / wide hull now.

i jumped on a stock RN recently - wow did it feel foreign.

The power is nice, and it also allows you to run OEM tank, waterbox, and battery tray. The rickter seems to be the only AM hull it will fit in other than the Lenzi. Since you have it and the powerfactor is hard to get at the moment, give it a try. BTW it will not fit on the DASA 1100 and clear the hood on the XFS. Sorry Josh for dumping your build thread.

Why will it not fit on the 1100, whats the difference between that and 1000 or 900 ,the way it mounts.. Is the 1100 a bit higher

What are you looking to use the strap hooks for on the flywheel bolts?
