Nice... it looks like an 07 bottom with 08 sponsons and the pump stuffer.

Also great clearance for a trim setup; Is the pump setback any further?

It is based on the 07 bottom but widened up front and the rails in the back are deeper like an 08. They are solid so they can be sanded down or rounded to loosen the ride.

This is the first hull produced with these changes, I can't wait to ride it!!!!

62 pounds total, yaa baby!!

Josh, I am jealous you will be riding yours before mine is done. Holy shiot, I can't wait to get my lightweight hull, but I will settle for riding yours!

That thing looks great all painted up. The hood is low and clean.

We might have 3 riding on your Lake!!!!! Once Fred takes a spin hes going to need one!!!

Once I installed the hood seal, it made the hood lines come together. That has to be the lowest hood on the market.

Plan a ride for next weekend!

Did I miss it? Who made the hull?

This Ski was built by a guy named Tim. Tim use to build boats for Xmetal. This Ski has a new bottom & the hood is lower & shorter than the xmetal boats, also is reinforced more.

Hard to beat 54lbs hull & 5.5 lb Hood! (No paint)

My plans are to ride Flat water & some surf with this Ski. If anyone's interested in a Hull or Hood send me a PM.

More hull info:

Full Carbon vacuum bagged, post cured to 140 degrees. High end Carbon Fiber and Epoxy. The carbon in this hull is not just pretty looking, the entire hull and hood are built from high quality Carbon Fiber.

1.25” wider than 07 specs, closer to 09; more stable. Widest point is between the motor mounts.

1.75” Shorter than stock “back flip hull”

Raised hood lip seal on the hull by about .75” where the hood sits on so it doesn't blow off sideways.

Chamfered bottom of the hull so the nozzle can rotate fully with the trim up.

Got some work done this morning. I had to make some pick up tubes for the 3 gallon Jaz tank. My battery is mounted in the center, so I have to run the jaz tank with the fuel pick ups facing forward. Installed the xmetal scupper, got the motor mounts installed. Going to build a battery box this afternoon. Will post some pictures tonight.

Here's some pictures from today. I ordered a MSD TL switch from Shifty today, should be nice not having to turn the MSD on & off all the time. Still waiting on some white turf. Going to install the pole, waterbox, & maybe the motor tomorrow.

What do you guys think, One or Two Rule 500GPH pumps?

one 750 Rulemate.

Thats a nice pump, also automatic which is nice when your running a scupper. Rule Mate pulls 2.8 amps, Rule 500's pull 1.9 ea. I'm running a small battery so I'm thinking one pump.

Does that tank come in white so you can see the fuel level ?

Just Black, but its 3 Gal.

You could install 2 more fittings on the side, one at the top & one at the bottom & run a clear fuel tube between. Some of the older airplanes used this method for fuel qty.

do NOT run rule 500's.....

they airbind like no other.....get the 360's....1000% better

(note: the 500's will work fine if you are going to flip the switch on manually......but if you are going to let it run while you ride..they will airbind/cav for sure...the 360 pump will NOT)

:)

you need to do an airplane theme ski at some point

I do have a pump shoe here In my garage

Thanks Lucas, Chris is going to ship me one. He has a new one for his build.

Got my Orange SJ apart this morning. Everything is ready to go into the Carbon build. I put the Orange SJ on the scale, Just the hull with motor mounts & Hood latch, etc. 142 lbs!!!!! (I would say wet foam). Looks like I might lose 80lbs, Oh yeah!!!! Its going to be like a new motor now!

I'm mounting the pole now, just waiting on the pump shoe. More PICS later.
