I've got a bunch of friends in Alaska that use aluminum jet boats. Can operate in I believe 2-3" of water. What's really nice is you can go way up a river, hunt or fish, then it's easy to travel back down. And if it gets too shallow, you hop out of the boat and push it with your hands while you walk in the stream.
