I recently bought a Karavan single aluminum trailer for $200, needed fenders and taillights.
I then scrubbed the entire frame with a garden hose and steel wool soap pads. This cleaned the aluminum up and made it shine. Then I polished the frame with Mothers aluminum polish - it looks like the trailer is chrome now.
I have the short wide wheels and tires on it, so when you unload the jetski - the trailer pops up to the surface!
Yes, it floats, gets a few comments from other boaters......
