Antigravity Batteries

Check bendix bushings, engagement, and condition of the bendix. Any and all moving part while starting has an effect on the battery life, xs1200 is probably asking for most if not all out of that battery so everything down the line of current and rotation needs to be working flawlessly

I will check it all out, appreciate the help as always Zach!

No problem I think we need to look at the big picture, it’s only costing you $46 a month to have the juice your ski needs

I doubt that’s your issue you would notice it. Too much timing advance in the wee rpms on your curve will increase the cranking amps required, my AG charger is about 5 years old, I want to say it was 2 or 3 amps, all it has is a single light that turns red or green

I just looked at my charger, outputs 14.6v @8.0 amps ?

Think it’s the model you have as well

I usually get 2 years out of mine as well. Key is to get a RC car style charger, charge it correctly and fully. You can see it on there.
Using a basic lithium charger, i went through a battery pretty quick too.

What settings are you guys using on these RC chargers? I have one laying around from my RC plane days which should work. I’ve been using a 2amp standard lithium charger but now you guys have me scared!

I went thru 3 AG batteries very quick with their charger. Now using Battery Tender brand ,different sizes but I made one fit in my custom box, have yet to kill 1! 2 years plus

Since I went to msd TL 3 yrs ago I've learned to turn the idle up one full turn after warm up pre launch to keep it running during the entire 20 -25 minute ride. There's too much wear n tear restarting it often while riding, don't forget to turn idle back when out of the water. There are some anti gravity batteries that have bms protection built in and Blue recently started using one.

Thanks for chiming in Taylor! Do you mind sharing your charger settings (Life 4s 5amp?) Do you only do overnight full charges or top off mid day during long ride sessions?

I keep my idle high partially for this reason as well, less starts the better.

Why aren't some of you guys looking into AG's with battery maintenance systems ( BMS)? Battery Tender Lithiums use this also. Pretty sure @McDog got about 4 yrs out of his battery tender.

" AntiGravity World’s First Powersport Battery with a FULL Battery Management System (BMS) including Over-Discharge, Over-Charge*, Thermal Protections and Cell Balancing. RE-START TECHNOLOGY: The RE-START Battery intelligently monitor its status; if it senses over-discharge it will put itself into a sleep mode, yet saves enough energy to allow you to RE-START your vehicle."

Either too big of a battery or too low CCA. the battery spot in a DVX has room for a 1601, not much else will fit. Not sure about the tigercrafts

I am going on year 4 on my wps featherweight battery in my dvx. Spins over my php898 on race gas no problem. I have also had my relay get stuck twice and drain the battery pretty bad and its recovered both times. I am using the ballistic charger.

Ill look tonight for the dimensions.

Wow thats awesome, yea if you could post up the battery model that would be great. 220+ comp i assume? I have had my relay get stuck as well before, one of those times may have killed a AG. Seems to only happen when battery is already starting get low, but I am not sure if that is cause or effect.

anytime the AG or Ballistic battery drops below 9v I believe they are doomed if im not mistaken.

And yes, my comp is definitely over 220

My buddy is also running the same wps battery on his xs1200rr at the same time length as me, however, he is on a pump gas setup.
