I'm out for Saturday. As I'm sure most are aware, Jesse Martin (Wasteland) passed away earlier in the week.
Jesse was a very good friend. His funeral is Saturday in Florence Al. It just would not be right if I was not there.
my plan is to attempt to drive to Hugo Sat night afterwards. God willing that I'm not an emotional wreck and can pull it off.

while you all are out ripping it up Sat, please go big at least one time in Jesse's memory! He would have loved to be there riding also.

Sorry for the loss. Lets Cheer up folks: Jessie would have wanted us to R.I.P it up weekend. For anyone coming from Georgia, please let me know if you need a place to stay :) At this point we might not need to book another hotel room but I'm not 100% sure? i know at least 3 rooms are currently booked, and notice a 4th may have been booked yesterday by Imabadfish.

Sounds good, I've actually never weighed my ski (empty or RTR) I've been asked what the weight is since its an AM carbon ski but I normally just say "I don't really care, it's a surf ski". I guess it wouldn't hurt to know.

I've been saying the same thing and haven't weighed my new one yet. I'm not sure I can stomach how much I paid to shave off just 10 or so pounds.

Great idea with the scale I just went on a new diet ,,,Har har har. Conditions are looking good and we have to tear it up out in the water for Jesse ! I want to throw a double if conditions are right and there's back up .

Make sure to bring decent bug spray, as Andy said lots of "#$&^ing sand gnats" etc. last weekend.
Despite the pleasant 70 degree forecast, I am taking my wet suite to avoid any further bites!

What time is everyone planning on being there Saturday? We are gonna leave the ATL around 5am Saturday... should be down around 12ish and picking up coreys dumbass. Everyone setting up down around the corner?

I have a slight change of plans - need to leave a bit early on Sunday for a family thing. I should be able to ride Sunday, but ened to leave at lunchtime or just before.

THis also means I'll be leaving Saturday morning a little earlier - like 3am so that I can get a longer day in for Saturday - I should be there about ~9am. I should be fine - I usually wake at 5am anyway and from the looks of it I'm riding solo :)
