Those who know me will know it's about impossible for me to go on a trip by myself since my wife always has a "I want to go and ride too" attitude and we have kids and no family around to leave the kids with.

Me and Robby (Superslowjet) aren't taking the girls. But I doubt anyone would mind if you did bring the family.

McDog I'm in the same boat... Wife and 4 kids but no local friends/family to watch the kiddos. My wife has no interest in riding or watching though cuz she thinks I'll be no help to her so I'm always solo.

My wife hates when I ride without her so she will be there. The only time I get her blessing to ride without her is during the big storm rides. She rode Hurricane Bill with us and will never do it again. Now if I want to go alone, I just say it's gonna be overhead and she's out.

For me, it'll actually be about a 12 hour drive to ride for maybe ~12 hours (Maybe more)

Several things have to happen before l can commit.One thing, l have a long ride,at least 8+ hours.So,the size of the waves would be an issue.But couple other things pending too. But l really hope to come down!
